Just listened to Nespithe again today. Found new things in the songwriting department that blew me away (again). I feel sorry for extreme metal fans that don't 'get' Nespithe. Sit down and focus on the songwriting once, it's seriously genius beyond just the unique vocals and skronky note choices.
I know Antti personally...I wish I had known you were going to interview him I could have you had ask him some funny questions..like that strip show we were at in Kuopio...and I got involved in some kind of S&M show...lol
This was a good interview. Finally something outside of a 'studio' for once. . Get more of these going! Damnit . :p First, cuz it's more engaging, 2nd, the more Reapdawg conducts in person inty's - the better and more smoother the whole process will be. \m/
themaskedpinapple I will be posting the multicam live video I shot in Cleveland soon. Definitely seems everyone has said the same as you and it was no different here when they player
Demilich's The Spine was one of the first Death Metal records I ever heard as a kid and it was very strange and scary back then to hear. I have a fair bit of nostalgia for this group and it's really cool to see an interview like this with a laid-back setting. This van set up is so nice! Good work. :)
Antti I recommend you : Hadez : Aquelarre full album The most Demonic Metal ever created and darkest Metal from South America . they had the fastest cymbals on planet earth
Shame about that little disput between Demilich and Beherit. Both are sick Finnish bands (with a really cool alien/cosmic feel to them-or maybe that is part of being Finnish metal)
The show was fuckin' transcendental, just a constant flawless barrage of pure compositional brilliance. Best performance easily, especially after some of the openers.
@@ReaperMetalProductions Yes. I remember how I saw them first time in short clip from Jarocin Festiwal in 1992. I saw this scary guy with arms full of pins and I suddenly realize that this is my kind of music- I was 12 that time ha ha. Next year I get the tape(I Was Watching My Death), what was not so easy if you were living Poland that time in very small viliage. Great time and many memories. Death and black metal were still something fresh- especially black. Other great polish bands from this period were Quo-Vadis, Pandemonium. Hazael and ofcourse Vader.
Lit-ch. It's a Mage ( sorcerer or Wizard) who gains eternal life and substantially powerful magic by dying via an evil occult ritual. So basically a super powerful undead wizard. Yes I'm a fucking nerd.
Their old manager, Krzysztof "Chris" Brankowski was selling a small bundle of few pic from shows, the band and even one underneath the Lenin monument in Moscow. And 5 sick stickers, also genuine! It was dirt cheap too, so I couldn't be happier :)
Nifelheim(Metal way of saying “nice”) !!!! Man I’m beginning to regret not driving to New Orleans to see em from Houston few weeks ago witch is a 6 hr drive still long distant suck I remember early May that month we drove 5 1/2 hrs to see Mob 47 to South Texas in Harlingen and Texas is huge so it takes lengthy drives to get to other sides of it but it was a blast got to hang out and see the Scandinavian Dbeat legends but still sukked driving there and back there and having to do that again the week after would have been a real sorr but still should have mustered it up. Great interview though kinda learning from this to be chill and mellow because I have to conduct an audio interview that’ll be transfered to a written interview in my friend’s underground zine for a band I will roadie for the day after I see Nasty Savage in my turf just got to be calm and collected and the questions will come naturally I hope but I’m really close and friends with the band I’m roadieing and interviewing so it shouldn’t be too overwhelming.

Thank you! I caught them in Cleveland and was glad to get this interview
Love both Demilich and Beherit, people back then were stupid picking only one genre
Yeah pretty dumb
I used to belch into empty toilet rolls to Demilich
Perfect reverb
punishing techno deathgrind.
King Diamond sees their video. King Diamond hires them ! Very Rock n Roll !

At least it makes for an interesting story
Fuck yea! Got to meet the man and take my picture with him in Atlanta at the Drunken Unicorn back in May.
It was great they finally came to the States!
The show was fuckin' transcendental, just a constant flawless barrage of pure compositional brilliance. Best performance easily, especially after some of the openers.
Good interview & cool Magnus shirt.
Nice to see the Magnus appreciation
F...k, your T-shirt has just remind me one of my first metal band I ever heard

Hyvä borgeri🇫🇮🦄
Magnus kurwa! I've got a sweet genuine Magnus patch from the 80s. Btw, I love how both fo you have shirts of Polish bands, lmao.
Wow what is the patch a logo or? Total coincidence!
The logo itself is rubber-ish, the exact one like mine: tshirtslayer.com/patch/magnus-and-slayer-very-old-rubber-patches-mint
