Gympie always floods I was in the 1999 floods nothing new . But I do hope everyone stays safe . And Mary street always goes under .

We got to start to put our house on pontoon and 4 to 6 poles deep into the ground ,at least 10 metres out of the ground with big veranda for motor vehicles, pontoons slide up down poles in flood water.

Still raining heavy up in the upper Mary river catchment near Maleny 4552. Also feeds the Maroochy River and Stanley/Brisbane rivers.

I doubt there's anywhere in the Southeast that isn't affected. There's a 40 metre slab of concrete floating down the Brisbane River.

I cannot understand are some people so stupid , everyone knows about flood prone areas , why not have life jackets at home and in the car.

Because if a crocodile decides to eat you then the crocodile may chock on the life jacket ,so not good to wear one may harm the native wildlife .

are you serious? that's Like asking why we dont keep blow a up dinghy, flippers, snorkel, air tanks and goggles in the boot of our cars. I'm pretty sure we aren't the stupid ones here
