For the Kestrel Nest Boxes, if you guys put them up, you'll want to add some fine chips or some type of nesting material. Of course, a quick web search will get you in the right direction. Beautiful Birds

Where I live, shooting my bow outside is not an option, so I have a bag target set up in my basement. The distance is only 7 yards, but I can practice in any weather, and at my age, I need the repetition to keep what strength I have left. Even so, I may soon need to reduce my draw weight even more than I already have.

I'm in north central Indiana and my switch grass is 6-8" tall already..looking forward to giving it a dose of quinclorac to help with some foxtail.
Seen my plots up at farm this weekend trying to get a turkey. Seen lots of hens one Tom 500yrds away. But I did get to eyeball my plots and switch and all is good.
Looking to put waterhole in soon but it's so wet I know the hole would fill with water before you could get it set and fill it. After 2years of drought it was quite shocking how much water was everywhere.

Hi Edward! You would never want buckwheat completely used as a Fall planting, but we include it as a % in our Fall Power Greens as a GREAT early season food source.
It's a marginal summer food source, but a great early Fall food source. Great compliment to the vining peas we use in that Fall Power mix 😉

I truly believe my best “stand” is my small off grid cabin and where I placed it. I have 98 acres, half facing southeast on a steep mountainside, and half facing northwest on a steep mountainside. I built the cabin right on top of the mountain. My experience hunting WV mountain country is that the deer bed middle to high on the sides of the mountain. I’m already on top and can get to all of my morning stands undetected, usually. No more trying to sneak up the side of the mountain in the morning where the deer can pick you off like a sniper on the high ground. Evening hunts are lower as they filter down the mountain to go to their destination at night. My access road to the cabin runs up the spine of the ridge, and that’s my access to get to evening stands. Placing the cabin where I did is a huge advantage. It was a lot of work getting materials up there, but we’ll worth the effort.
