Remember, if you are using a drop tuning it is the note of your top string not your bottom one. Disturbed uses a lot of drop C sharp meaning the bottom string is tuned to B. Solar it depends on how much time you spend with guitar. And i'm not talking about playing songs, i'm talking about exercises that actually increase your skills. You should spend at least 2 hours every day with guitar if you want to become proficient quickly.
