GADZOOKS!!! What sorcery is this! Lifting my mood, from one so dour! To dizzy heights of melancholy! Many troubadours have come and gone with this composition! Only to be escorted off my estate! But you are worthy of a place in my minstrels gallery anytime!🧐 Jesting apart, really enjoyed it!
i like how you strum and hit certain strings that so well emphasize the melody and resonate with your beautiful voice! What an amazing range you have too! You play such beautiful "sus"-like chords too. You should have a million hits soon! Wherever you play they are so fortunate to experience your world class talent! You picked a perfect place to record too and I imagine you are somewhere in England in Sandy's-land too!
@@veilands8136 absolutely right. Even now I sing it different and understand it differently than this recording. A song that moves and changes in every season truly. Thank you for listening 🩷
I took my guitar and played and sang this beautiful Sandy Denny with you, Erin. You playing DADGAD tuning and me the usual EADGBE tuning. What a blessing. You playing and singing with the mindblowing acoustic in this setting.. It amplified the wonder of your voice and guitarplaying. You stole my heart..❤
Found you purely by chance and this is just sublime. It could lend itself so easily to becoming a Dirge but you gave this already beautiful song an Edge vocally, that lifted it right up there. Thank you for sharing your gift.
magnificent ! i was utterly transported, your voice and presence within the song completely captured me, and i must commend Alex for the location and audio mix: heavenly!!!
Good for you doing a really different version of this iconic song. Honestly, it is not to my taste, but I can appreciate a genuinely original talent, when everyone else just tries to make a version of Sandy. Thanks a lot.

At 72 I agree. I played this song recently while driving past the place I had lived in during the 80's for 10 years at age 30 or so, and boy I did I cry, but it was happy cry of being so thankful for what was once a wonderful decade. bill
I love this song... I play it rather differently, and probably a much simpler version of the guitar chords... just sliding an 'E-chord' up and down the neck, basically, but I must say I love your version of it. And your voice is just as haunting as Sandy Denny's... This is the very first thing I've heard from you... I came here only because I recognised the song and have always loved Sandy Denny... but you have such a beautiful voice and such a lovely guitar style that I will certainly look out for more of your music in the future!
