Machine in the walls has sort of a “dark cathedral” vibe to it, whereas this one just sounds downright evil. I love it.
Machine in the walls felt like a very necromancyish vibe to me. This one does sound better
Both are amazing tracks, machine in the walls gives me huge chills tho so I prefer that one
Sounds hopeful to me when the music swells
the theme of firing brimstone at a purple goblin and causing the framerate to drop considerably as a swarm of purple goblins is simultaneously created and destroyed
Smooth 144 FPS? Not anymore!
Oh hello there
Didn't expect you here
I didn't expect u to be here lol
@Rayan Haq the extended versions have been privated :(
what the heck
Oh yeah, this is a real bop right here. Cannot wait to see it paired with the Mausoleum!
Are you waiting for the alt floor of this as well as Corpse?!
hey chemi love the vids keep up the good work! :)
Hi chemiiii, love ur videos!
Hi chemicat! I like you videos:)
Hi chemicat
I like how the community is just perfectly split in half, 50% thinks this is better 50% thinks machine in the walls is better.
imo both are equally fitting for the mausoleum, while having completely diffirent vibes. machine in the walls is a bit more mystical, while this sounds more evil, but Mausoleum just fits for both of them
My thoughts exactly, both are insanely good, just in their own way
I hope there's a mod that randomises the music between Ridiculon and Mudeth, I love both soundtracks!
@@TheLethargicWeirdo985 thats a cool idea
@@TheLethargicWeirdo985 nah either one or the other i think
@@eltiolavara9 It's not like the mod will ever happen anyways, I have no coding ability, so it'll have to be one or the other.
Machine in the Walls of Denial

OH MY GOD IF THAT WAS A REMIX
@@x0v8 I've honestly considered it before but I don't have nearly as much expertise in sound making to do that, haha
Someone should make that happen
@🌀karmack🌀 ah yes, the floor here is made if floor
I can't wait to get miserably pummeled by monsters while listening to this sick music.
You could always mute the in-game music right now, and have this play in the background while playing Isaac.
@@etherraichu oh yeah! I seriously need to try this in antibirth.
I want to know how heavy the atmosphere will be with this new music
@@Wubbalubbadubdub2 I think what the guy meant was that OP could just put it on because he already gets destroyed, so might as well put it on now
this is a pure masterpiece, great job Ridiculon!

i LOVE machine in the walls , but this right here is magnificent, idk what's about it , but it's my favorite track right after Fissure
anyway , i gotta go hide before the Hitman arrives
@Christian Rivera peoples expectations were insanely high because of machine in the walls from antibirth being such a fan favorite
@Christian Rivera I don't know, usually you hear any song for ridiculon and don't really like it until you hear it for the third time
It's weird but i love that
Walls of Denial succeeds in being more fitting to the setting. It’s a den of evil cultists and their creations. Ravenous predators who will eat other monsters in the room. It’s not a magical wonderland. That’s the vibe I get with machine in the walls. I do think machine in the walls will go down as more of a classic because it’s still very good music that sticks in your head more and doesn’t rely on atmosphere as much.
I feel like this is essentially true with a lot of the tracks when you compare the Antibirth OST to Rebirth. Mudeth often gets the upper hand in terms of the music being more fun to listen to on its own but ultimately I get Ed’s sentiment on Ridiculon fitting the “vibe” of Isaac better in terms of atmosphere. I’m incredibly glad that they managed to find a perfect balance with Repentance.
@@tangerino3199 oh, that explains really nicely how i feel with their musics respectively.
@@tangerino3199 yep
I can only speak for myself, but Machine in the Walls really felt right for me. I never felt like it was a "wonderland". Machine in the Walls made me feel like I was lost in some mystical death trap. The teleporters, and the magic theming, it all came together in a really nice way, at least for me. Now I still like Walls of Denial, and I think that it works, but it doesn't carry the sense of mysticism with it that Machine in the Walls did. This song honestly feels like, well you hit it pretty well on the head, cultist horror, which is good, but again it just doesn't fit as well in my mind. The one thing that this song does better, is put me on edge.
Machine in the wall to me was about Isaac entering a dark yet somewhat holy place. Where he would discover and fight both holy and unholy creatures in his struggle to move forward. Walls of denial is Isaac’s horror when he has to both fight a amalgamation of his beliefs, imagination, and fears.
another brick in the walls of denial
another brick in the machine in the walls of denial
This freaking guitar solo part at 3:38 is so fookin' awesome I'm losing my head shaking on it
Definitely the best part
This is a "layer" when you enter a room with alot if enemies this guitar part will play signifying danger
@@chezzant thx cap, who would have known! :)
The wall trinity:
Wall of Sorrow - The End Is Nigh
Halls of Belial - The Legend of Bum-bo
Walls Of Denial - The Binding of Isaac: Repentance
The 3 of them start the same... and I love it.
Where does Pink Floyd's "The Wall" fit?
@@Mekboy_ComputerMonster “Leave them kids alone” seems to fit all over.

Machine in the Walls Vs. Walls Of Denial
I wonder who will win in popularity. Also, I find it groovy both have the word "Walls" in the title.
Both are awesome but +1 to machine in the walls
Walls of denial i feel fits the vibe a lot better, machine almost felt happy to me
@@necksuss5806 I think the right word you are looking for is "Uplifting". But I get what you mean.
For me Machine in the Walls is the absolute winner.
Walls of Denial for me. Compared to the former, it gives you the sensation of alienation with a darker/vile/sinister tone that feels very natural to Isaac, whereas Machine in the Wall is more uplifting, giving you more of an aura of a cathedral with a more ceremonial approach.
I think
Machine in the Walls: Dreamlike
Walls Of Denial: Magnificence
Anyway, I like both.^_^
For me mausoleum feels like preparing to final and i think this is good fitting
The layered version is fu**ing amazing!
ikr, it's so frickin awesome
To succeed the fan favorite Machine in the Walls is a hell of a pair of boots to fill. I'd say they pulled it off.
I enjoy this track for sure but Machine in the Walls is still next level. In fact, I hate to say it but in my humble opinion, every single track by Mudeth is leagues above Ridiculon. I respect and can appreciate Ridiculon's tracks but to me Mudeth's soundtrack is just lightyears ahead of any other Issac music.
@@dazzylives7452 i'd say this is as good as machine in the walls, and juggernaut is just way better than mudeth's alternate boss theme, but thats just my opinion
@@corinth9140 oh yeah I will give you that on Juggernaut, it's a good one, I forgot about that track. Mudeth's metal tracks do leave something to be desired but everything else is so good I tend to overlook them.

@@dazzylives7452 I think ridiculon does dross and ashpit better (;
The beatdrop at 2:05 is literally so fucking good holy shit
THE BATTLE BRICKS MACHINE SCREAM! CHAPTER 3!
Definitely has a more cult-like feel than machine in the walls, I like it!
imo this feels like you just walked in on an evil ritual and have to stop it while machine in the walls feels like youre walking through an evil crypt
@@blazen123 Isaac is a party crasher. Mausoleum is a party in the depths. Gehenna is the after-party.
I wasn't pleased by the fact that the antibirth won't be used at all but now after hearing the majority of the soundtrack im totally okay with that holy shit that's good
I don’t care what anyone says, this one stuck to me THE MOMENT I entered Mausoleum. Machine in the Walls wasn’t bad, but it never stood out to me both in and out of the game. This one whoever, what a banger. Have been in love with it since Repentance came out.
I agree this is easily one of the best tracks. The new tracks are fucking glorious in Repentance. Ed and the team really did it justice and did an amazing job of setting the tone in their music. Worth the wait. I had the same feeling of awe getting to the mausoleum for the first time I couldn't stop listening to this song
i basically had an out of body experience watching nl get to the mausoleum for the first time and hearing this wonderful song in the background

This track has me SO excited for the DLC! 😍 Keep up the great work.
It sounds really good, especially later on, but it doesn't stick in your head as easily as some of the other new tracks. River of Despair is definitely still Repentance's magnum opus so far. I find myself humming it quite often and very nice for improvising, as that's how the song is structured anyways.
@@Menelwennn Juggernaut is really fast paste and Adrenalin bumping , and i love it
but River of despair is a melody that get's stuck in your head in a good way , but for my money i think Walls of denial hits both sides , it's my favorite track in all of Isaac , that might change when the Witness theme drops but who knows

This is definitely one of the best songs in the game. I find myself headbanging whenever I hit the Mausoleum.
It never gets old
i really like how this sounds like a mix of cathedral and sheol (and halls of belial from bumbo)
it also suits thematically really well. great job
Fuck my life this is so good while playing.
i am battling the bricks so hard rn
Perfect balance among ambient and track, wow
Mausoleum with Sheol vibes right here
Better than machine in the walls imo
this sounds pretty nice, not grotesque has a nice beat its very well done
I’m a new player that listened to both songs for Mausoleum and this one is better IMO (dont have memories with the old one, and didn’t have access to the actual one, so I’m not influenced by any of it)

I love it.
THIS IS AMAZING
Bro, why the Repentance OST is so fucking amazing? it's like they were making new versions of older themes, if they are doing that... i cant wait to hear "vs Isaac" Repentance OST
They are only making new themes for the new floors and rooms that didn't previously have their own OST, like super secret rooms.
So no, they won't remake the VS Isaac, although Mudeth, the guy that made antibirth's OST, did remake that track
@@IanSz-ig9hn
Oh well, thanks for the info, i'm waiting for the Secret Room OST then lol
@@PukeTops Why would secret rooms be any different? You're gonna have to just use a mod to mod in Mudeth's music when it comes out if you want different music for that.
On a sidenote, Mudeth did say he will be continuing to work on remaking the rest of the soundtrack he didn't get to too. Hopefully he knocks them out of the ball and more people learn of and hire him for his music too!

Hello, im here with an edit. After seeing the game just wanted to say that both themes fit perfectly
Thanks for your attention
Thanks, doc!
this one. this one is the best of them all.
I feel that this is one of the harder chapters in the game and the music really suits it. When you're rolling hard in Isaac, you can just tear through the enemies here.
If you were ever on the fence about this song, view it like this. Danger left and right. You dash and weave through them. Monsters right behind you. You’re at the homestretch at 3:38. Go.
Chill beats to depress/cry to
I don’t know if I’ve ever been this hype
Anyone else noticed how the opening sound is the exact same as in the Wall of Sorrow from The End is Nigh (another one of Edmund's games)?
That's clever.
they also did the exact same thing with Halls of Belial from legend of bum-bo
I honestly like this more than Machine in the Walls
edit: canot spel
Same.

I love how rock this is
SOOOO GOOOOD!
A chorus like in Cathedral..?? And whispers like in Sheol...??
This is beyond perfection
And holy shit, the in combat ver. slaps harder than any belt ever.
Maybe its the theme of the new chapter
Like the third way after mom heart/it lives, a combination of both cathedral and sheol
And parts from halls of belial.
Cant wait for this man, hope juggernauts on here, that’s my favourite so far
