So haute couture designers and commercial brands use trend forecasters and teams of creatives to produce and advertise these trends. "Baguette Bags" were THE coolest thing you could own back when I was a senior in HS and then the next 2-3 years of college. So like 1999-2002. I had a Coach one, because Coach was very exclusive and high end back then (it's still high end, it just wasn't as main stream as it became). Then of course the LV and Fendi ones, everyone had to have those. Funny thing is that now with the size of cell phones, it would be tough to fit much else besides your giant cell phone in it lol. Anyway, they're cute though, for going out at night or to dinner. Not big enough to be an every day bag though, in my opinion.
Also, my mom had a pair of cow print leggings back in the 80s when I was a kid and I thought they were the COOLEST and most trendiest leggings ever. I kind of wish my mom saved them, hahah. I find it fascinating how every trend of style/fashion comes back around many years later. I guess it's been happening since the beginning of time, but when you have lived through the first era of it being cool, and then see it come back 20 years later, I think it's really fun and nostalgic :) Also, I'm realizing that I'm old.
