The argument of whether the government makes the right use of taxes is another thing. But taking a stand against civic duties like paying taxes is not a good move in my opinion.

You must PAY TAX on EVERY MONEY you earn and that's the law in all developed economies but if you don't, you will be evading tax and can go to prison.
