I love RPGs but I struggle with litRPGs. I think what I love about playing the games is the sense of accomplishment I get from completing a mission. Those good ol’ dopamine hits. I’m surprised by the amount of John Gwynne fans that have not read the Of Blood and Bone trilogy! I still need to read a Time of Courage…but at this point it’s been like 3 years since I finished A Time of Blood…so I probably need to reread the whole thing all over again 🤪
I don’t want to jinx it but I think I’m feeling a bit better at this point😅 DCC is definitely a strange one to try to explain because it’s just so off the wall most of the time haha! Ahh I can totally see where you’re coming from with the whole RPG vs litRPG thing. This is the first series that I’ve read that’s even remotely in the litRPG wheelhouse & it’s been an… experience😂 It’s so cool though and I’ve been loving the series!! I know right?! It’s insane that Of Blood and Bone hasn’t gotten the same amount of ratings! I definitely don’t think it’s AS good as TFatF but they’re kinda like siblings. TFatF is definitely the hot one but OBaB looks kinda similar and has a great personality💁🏻♀️🤣 Also, you should definitely do a reread!!
