His knee buckled as a result of the uppercut. No 2 ways about it, Ngannou was going to win by KO after Cain started to go down, regardless of the knee injury.
What uppercut? There was no uppercut in the entire highlight reel. Ngannou framed on Cain's neck with his right hand to stop a potential takedown attempt, it was not a punch, just a frame. Cain's knees buckled but he did get knocked out by the right hammer fist of Ngannou when he was on the ground. He went to block it but it still got through. But that was not a knockdown, Cain's legs gave out.

What uppercut? There was no uppercut in the entire highlight reel. Ngannou framed on Cain's neck with his right hand to stop a potential takedown attempt, it was not a punch, just a frame. Cain's knees buckled but he did get knocked out by the right hammer fist of Ngannou when he was on the ground. He went to block it but it still got through. But that was not a knockdown, Cain's legs gave out.
