I did use it on the back drag, but I find that it catches pretty bad on the shards of rocks sticking up out of my ground if I’m trying to use that front edge. I ended up tilting my bucket back and trying to push with the bottom and rear of the bucket, and that seemed to work fairly well on float. Thank you so much for watching and I do appreciate the tip. Someone mentioned putting a piece of PVC pipe over the cutting edge. I want to try that out.
I saw the seatbelt shot!👏Try using horn beep codes for towing. Good job, I picked up a used 6'6" power angle snowplow setup this summer with quick attach for $450. Flushed the hydraulic cylinders, hooked up the hoses to the third function and it works! Plow works good for care of the stone driveway also. Enjoy the snow, not much in SE Pa for the last three or four years.
Excellent! I never thought about using the horn and talking about that in advance. Hopefully I will remember that for the next time.! Sounds like you got a heck of a deal on your set up there. Thank you so much for sharing!

I have always wondered how people keep from tearing up the edges. When I watch people plowing, I just don’t understand how they know what’s underneath the snow.🤣
My wife never heard of snow ice cream before. We talked about it Friday then I got called in for Saturday but they made some while I was at work. I was really suprised she hadn't heard of that before. It was always a winter tradition for us when we got some snow. I wanted to video that. Made me think who elae has never heard of that before besides my wife.

Yeah, I figured I would just cut a majority of the snow off the top and then hoping the sun would melt the rest in a hurry, which actually ended up working out pretty well. Now where the ground is tilted away from the sun just right or if it receives a lot of shade. I still have slick spots, but much of my driveway is completely clear now. The snow is still resting beautifully in the forest and my truck still sets at the top of the hill. 🤣
The joys of winter. The machine did ok with those tires. Ya had some traction from the gravel that helps. Soft ground is difficult too. Yas all did great. If ya had an angle blade ya can manipulate the blade to follow the contour of the road by tipping your mast.
As a fellow 2wd s10 owner I always put 2 rows of firewood in the bed against the tailgate. Gets me around pretty good. My wife has to put her tahoe in 4wd with new tires and I leave without an issue
Excellent information! I appreciate you sharing that bit of information with all of us and myself. Maybe my two boys could have sat in the back and likely could have driven out. 😉
Man you got more snow than me , I probably got 4” I didn’t even bother to mess with my gravel driveway would have made it worst. The snow is so beautiful. Hope we get more!

Hi Joe. Great video. You need a shed for the tractor. A front mounted snow blower is the way to go. I have one on my MF GC2600 and it’s just awesome. Enjoy. Nazdravja!
I’m not sure we get enough snow to warrant a snowblower. In fact, I saw the very first one I’ve ever seen during the storm. The city was using a walk behind unit for the sidewalks at City Hall.🤣
A blade in the rear would be nice but it’s pain to remove and reinstall that back hoe. Front mounted snow pusher is the way to go and much more affordable than a snow blower. But for lots of snow, you can’t beat a blower. Enjoy. Nazdravja!
If I lived in snow country, and someday I may, I will definitely want a snowblower! Those things look absolutely amazing. I am quite leery of removing my backhoe just for the heck of it until I have a graded flat spot. I just keep picturing me setting the backhoe down off camber and having a hard time getting it lined back up. Sometimes if I sit down the bucket in the wrong place, it’s hard enough with the super easy and efficient skid steer quick attach to get it back in place because of the angles. 😉🤣

@oakiewoodsman The edge tamers would make a great welding project for you. I built a set for us but didn't make a video. Thank you, buddy! A couple people have mentioned putting a 2 inch PVC pipe on the front cutting edge of the bucket and I think that would be a fantastic route to go! Gonna make sure it’s some super heavy duty wall pipe I do believe 🤣
Try cutting a slit in a piece of 2 inch plastic pipe and sticking it onto the cutting edge of the bucket. This will keep you from digging up the yard when plowing.

I know with my gannon box i lay.it back and pull with the rear cutting edge so it spreads instead of cuts, tends to work well for me. Maybe back drag with your bucket at a very shallow angle to get the same effect? Meantime, throw some wood in the bed of your s10 for some weight, and be gentle with the go pedal.
