It all starts with Kyle Shanahan. He's the off. coordinator and play caller. It's incumbent on him to put the players in a position to succeed, move the ball and score. He's holding this team back.
He's about the only NIner who actually thinks about things before he opens his mouth. Of course he is very careful not to blame the coaching for whatever has gone wrong but I get that. But the main thing is that he is thoughtful and doesn't just toss out bunch of cliches like "how the guys all need to step up, etc." He will find no problem finding work after football. I hope he doesn't just become another boring broadcaster like Tom Brady. He is smarter than Brady. We need people like George to go into politics.
Felt like that 2nd and 11 throw to Deebo that Purdy threw high would have iced that game. He also had McCaffery coming open on that play with no pressure. There was plenty that went wrong to get us there but I think that would have won it.
Sounds like George would be okay going to the passing atrempt limit they used under JimmyG. Just give Jordan 20 carries. Christian 15 touches. Work to what Kittle and Jennings do best. Deebo is a role player, 5 touches. Let Brock operate in 2 read pass game and let him audible some. Maybe if the play call has too many "ums" or "uhs" in it, then thats the green light to audible on look.
