Yeah, that's one of the things about this mod that stands out the most to this day. In a good way
This mod was pretty damn cool. But to this day I still dont understand what the point of the anime character thing was. You see it like 3 times in the whole mod and it plays absolutely no role in the plot.
Yeah, I thought she would at least help you out in the last boss fight or something.

Apparently, this was the "Route A". The choice is at the 51:50.
Entering the pipe, you choose the route A, but when you, instead of entering the pipe, get back inside and enter one of the spaceships, you enter the Route B, which contains different levels.
I have done the route B, and didn't even know that this route A existed. Does anyone have a savefile right before the choice?

I think there are 2 Endings that are both bad
1:After Beating the Martians UFO Boss and the game Xen takes over earth
2:After Beating Kingpin and the game The Martians set their attack on earth
If im seeing the games path wrong i apologize.
Regardless if they invade Earth, their efforts are useless because of the Combine invasion
For the 2nd ending, The developer, K.S stated on his old japanese blog in the early 2010's:
"Sweet Half-Life's UFO assault ending is connected to the game X-COM UFO Defense's beginning."
So this game is linked to the original X-COM game by Micropros.
But both alien forces would likely be defeated by the Combine and thus the Seven Hour War commences

You could have safed the Guy at *8:57* but you watched him Die still good Gameplay.
You cannot save him. I have tested it myself. The fence cannot be shot through. Now, there is a gap to the right, where you could try to kill the zombie, but doing so breaks his AI, and he just stands there. In order to get through the fence, you have to blow it up, so his death is inevitable no matter what you do.
I want to say that you are good people, not like everyone else.
