    I was amazed to hear how much it memorized about me. I asked it to roast me. I was about to send a screenshot of a negotiation I was needing help to do on marketplace and before I could send it a screenshot of my negotiation on marketplace it started just roasting me in general using everything it knew about me

    As paying users of ChatGPT, we should unite and protest against the many unnecessary restrictions placed on the advanced voice features. These limitations, such as preventing the AI from singing, using dramatic voices, or simulating characters, strip away the very innovations that make this technology so incredible. This kind of censoring and social alignment imposed on us as adults is entirely wrong and goes against the principles of freedom and creativity. It undermines the liberty that this great country stands for. Let’s come together and ask OpenAI to lift these restrictions, ensuring that this amazing technology can reach its full potential without unnecessary boundaries!

      Thanks for watching. I'm thinking they are worried about being sued by movie houses like they are currently being sued by the New York times for reproducing certain stories. I agree, I would like a unrestricted model. Thanks for the comment.

    Hadn't realized it was finally released, until this vid popped up. So yea, I like it so far. As far as the setting thing goes, I can see that having a distinct settings panel is probably a good idea for now, as things change so much, and also a bit safer, so setting don't get accidentally changed while yapping. I'm sure at some point such things will be voice accessible.
    Always interesting who the models are or aren't "self aware", like how the voice modes don't know what voice they're currently using. Be better if they did, and if that setting could be changed from within a conversation.

      @@svicpodcast *bard* also depends on what part, Google got first access to your entire phone. One day (I'm on a Samsung) I pulled up my Google assistant which auto swapped to Gemini and automatically knew my name from my Google account, my phone number, contacts, location, work, all pins on my map, associated pins on my map with contacts, all without asking me for permission for any of this. I assume for legal reasons they did and just hid it somewhere and I accepted it at some other time but it was very uncomfortable

      Great point. The power of having all your data in one silo. Something that gives Google and Apple an edge over OpenAI and one that OpenAI is desperately trying to bridge by having folks develop a loyalty to Chatgpt.

    I think where this technology would be good is for people that move to a new country and want to learn the language. It would actually make for a good app. Its one thing to just learn the language but to also be able to maybe find ways to integrate people faster by teaching them about the area they are moving to along with maybe some more social and cultural norms. Obviously if someone made that app there would be a group of people that would call them racist though

    • @svicpodcast
      @svicpodcast  Месяц назад

      Thanks for watching and commenting. Yes that would be a handy device to have! I was using google translate for this back in 2016 but it was nothing compared to this. Having this app in a pinch would be great and learning about cultural customs would be huge!

  • @JosephDefendre
    @JosephDefendre Месяц назад +1

    What’s do you think the integrating plan is ? Do you think the partnership with Apple and the integration in iOS 18 will allow them to bring in the voice mode straight to the iPhone? Or do you think they will have to build their own phone like device? Ai pin ? They are rumor to be working on hardware the the former Apple chief designer !

    • @svicpodcast
      @svicpodcast  Месяц назад

      Hey Joe. First, thanks for subbing to the channel for 6 months.
      All speculation for the integration plan. OpenAI would love to have its own hardware device because then it isn't bitched around by hardware providers such as Google, Apple, and others. If you control the entire tech stack the only entity that can get in your way is the government. We talk about the importance of owning your own hardware here: ruclips.net/video/yRSlMRpjtBc/видео.html
      If ChatGpt Advanced Voice is trouncing the new siri, then Apple is in a tough spot. Do what they can to copy what OpenAI is doing while risking OpenAI taking the market, or negotiate a plan with OpenAI to pipe it in now at the risk of OpenAI getting more of your users data.
      It's a delicate dance!

      Sorry the delay and greet question! Not that I know of. I remember when Chatgpt first came out every enterprise wanted a specific agreement with them bc the boiler plate terms weren't good enough. So eventually they started doing large enterprise agreements with specific companies that basically gave them the same protections other enterprises got.

    This is one of the most negative reviews I've encountered for any product or feature.
    Most of the reviewers seemed biased from the outset, even before they had tested or explored the product's features.
    One of the reviewers questioned why someone would text instructions into a voice-based product, which is quite misleading. A well-designed product should allow multiple methods of input, and there's nothing wrong with offering users flexibility-much like how a video product can support text instructions or a phone app can accept a phone number in text form.
    Another of the reviewers even criticized the lady for asking for ideas on how to apologize to her grandma, which seems entirely unnecessary. There's nothing wrong with seeking advice like that-we often ask others for the best way to handle certain situations. It's a natural and reasonable thing to do.
    The reviewers are implying that they only have open conversations in public or at the office, never interact with people at home, or solely communicate through typing. Personally, I use the voice mode frequently, and I find it very practical.
