Koecher absolutely handed this game to Lu Xun when he nuked Zock. Then after that he barely harassed Lu Xun for the rest of the game.
who loves watching the epics over and over until u lose ur mind? and wonder why zock is such a badass :)

EPIC game! Lu Xun is a beast!
Lu Xun's multitasking is just amazing. It allows him to spread his forces, expand everywhere, and he's still able to micro his forces like a pro.
His strategic decisions are also excellent. He never seems to get into a position where he doesn't know how to counter the enemy (like using his nuke on his own base, something few would ever think about). Many top players seem to get stuck when people turtle, and then they just start bitching.
An outstanding player.
Cybrans are awesome, different but awesome.
I love at 30:42 where you can see a Brick from Zock in the southeast edge of the pond eat five volleys from that battleship without a care in the world
Anyone else think that if an Asswasher landed on a mountain, it would not gently come to rest so much as completely obliterate the entire chain of mountains and probably disrupt the plate tectonics in the area? Pretty hard to simulate in a game like this I'm sure but still kinda funny to watch them land light as a feather on mountains half their size.
Your commentaries for these games are superb. I don't own the game but I'm still enjoying watching them all.

Clear in hindsight that HQ's are much better than activators for Engie mod.
This game is demonstrative of everything that a true strategy game needs to be! My only surprise is that these high level players didn't maintain a constant patrol of t3 spyplanes - at the very least in the area of their own main bases. Arma could have put the kibosh on that chicken hatchery in the top right if he had kept his eyes open.
I guess in the end there is only so much brain space a player has, and the mental exhaustion of such a long FFA does crazy things to your thought process.
EP-IC!!! Fun fun fun! Watching this match made me long for the old days of TA and SC1. Gyle - you are an awesome commentator - makes viewing these long matches a pure joy! Good on ye booyo! ; )
At the start I was worried the starting position would penalise too much the players who didn't have a corner but it didn't matters a lot..

My first time watching FFA match. Truly epic. Well done with the split screen, Gyle. Always enjoyable to watch your commentaries. So far, I have only played co-op vs. Sorien with a friend. I am watching these to get a grasp on how the F.A.F community plays (etiquette, play style, etc...). I may join the newbie squad soon.
I can honestly say that your games are, in my opinion the most entertaining games to watch, even when you don't win. You've got skill, intelligence, patience, and good manners; all the qualities of a great player.

Very nice match. And this time you didn't even miss a lot of the action, nice coverage of what happened. Some very interesting plays with hidden bases, and other tricks.

I was hoping that Voodoo would make an epic comeback at some point during the match, but alas it would not be so. :(
As said to him, try out JDownloader and plugins to download the stuff to your comp directly.
Doing so will allow you to watch the stuff with as less bandwith needed (takes longer sure, just go sleep in that time, while it downloads all your favourite stuff in highest quality, even with crappy internet).
This was one of the best matches i ever watched.
I think it deserves to be called an epic, if not for the gametime :D

Not sure about the mexes, I imagine the players did not want to spend the mass on eco. Koecher built an experimental nuke and when he got ejected he said the missile was 50% done, that takes a TON of eco and time (also I haven't ever seen one finished in a high level game not even on setons)
Would you cast some Nomads games please? I think it's be a great deviation from the regular casts, and Nomads really are just a great addition to FA. (not to mention it's promotion to the community.)

Firefox has the Flash Downloader, nice plugin you can easily download all the youtube stuff and watch them later on mobile phone or somewhere (loading them mobile is expensive).

Why was Koecher's units colored red despite being blue? Also, isn't engie mod supposed to reduce the number of engineers in the game? Why would it create situations where experimentals can rack up veterancy off engineers more easily than in vanilla FA?

I clearly don't understand this game 'cause I am super confused about why half the mex on the map were left unclaimed for the second half of the game. Surely they are still worth grabbing when they aren't even being contended? Also, what the heck was Koecher doing in the second half? Huge swathes of time where no one attacks him and he seems to be making no progress at all.

And yes, this mod _IS_ bad. It allows you to build tech 3 units in no time at all with dropping a single t1 engie. Tech is hard to get around now which is good.

Could we see some "unfair" matches with some 1v2 or some equivicable odds?
JDownloader and the like also do the trick, just check them out, might help your low bandwith a lot, you can even watch higher quality, just takes longer.

just a hint regarding player names: I'm pretty sure 'Koecher' is pronounced [ˈkœçɐ] and not [ˈkɜːˌtʃə]. There is a difference between on the one hand not being capable of pronouncing foreign sounds but trying to at least approximate these with sounds native to the speaker and on the other not even trying to approximate the actual sounds and simply pronouncing the name as if it was intended to be pronounced English.
No offence intended, just want to help improve your proficiency. ;)
