I just want to let everyone know that in the UK we are still unable to watch it as it only gets released on the 11th of October so it still might not become a flop
The 86 movie is still my favorite, but objectively, Transformers One is the best Transformers movie to date. It's a real shame that after so many duds that somehow kept selling tickets, they finally made a good one, and nobody's buying.
I definitely feel you on that! This joker 2 movie keeps getting people watching even though the reviews have all been bad that I've seen, yet this movie is not getting the love it should
I think the lack of success for Transformers One is due to marketing and it being an animation. As someone else mentioned, they didn't even hear about Transformers One until their grandma told them about it. I think I only heard about it because I follow Transformers content and the RUclips algorithm curated my feed with Transformers One promotions. Besides that, I think the other big issue is that Transformers One is an animation and a lot of adults have a weird stigma towards animated movies being childish. Hence, anyone who probably knew about this movie will not see it due to the belief that it's just going to be another kids movie filled with pee pee poo poo humor alongside a cliche plot about family and friendship. Overall, I think this movie could've been more successful if the marketing team portrayed it as more mature instead of the Run-of-the-mill kids flick.
