bossfight1 He already made Thor's Hammer. So go watch that if you want to see him make a hammer. There are much more interesting weapons he could make from the Warcraft lore than Doomhammer. For example Quel'delar, Shalamayne, Thunderfury or even Warglaive(s)
-Pity he forgot to, or simply deliberately didn't, whatever, include the two notches in the- -blade. Kinda what gave the axe its name. Oh well, still awesome.-
Shinjite1754 Never mind, you were right. 6:56 The nicks are there - and with one extra to go - only smaller (like they are in the WoD cinematic). In other words, he made a spot-on replica. Good enough! -While still a- very nice detail -not those small nicks, like two really sizeable- -gaps on the upper and lower edge of the- -blade. -But that's just nitpicking an otherwise- astounding replica, -really; don't mind me.-
They have this big hollow cavity inside the head of the axe. I wish they'd found a way to hide some flute holes in it to make it whistle when swung xD Still badass. Man at Arms has done some crazy work.
Can you please make Tony an easter egg character? Just like a dwarf bashing away at an anvil with all the weapons he's created hanging from walls and the ceiling
Warglaives of Azzinoth next, nobody has done them properly yet. They deserve it. Frostmourne and Doomhammer have been done before, it's not cool anymore. Ashbringer after glaives, then Thunderfury, Sulfuras, Atiesh, etc.
Jotun90 He's wearing the Warglaives in Warcraft 3. He got the warglaives during the War of the Ancients. He even "killed time" in prison by practicing with the warglaives in question.
IncinerateFlash no disrispect but i have seen better but with simple macinery and true blacksmith dose not were gloves he is used to tuch warm steal with hands (not red parts ofc lol) i wish to say this guy dose amazing work but have lots of tools that make it simple for him but i do not judge him for that ofc u wish to make job as fast as possibile and easyer any way amazing work :P
Everything these guys make, every weapon, every piece of armor I have seen is absolutely gorgeous. Such detail and dedication to their craft. Outstanding job guys. As always.
At the end of the most recent Azeroth Armory (Doomhammer), there is a short clip of the warglaives. The video is not out yet, for these guys, but will be coming soon I hope!
Really liked that they showed his first attempt at getting part of the blade right failed. It shows that those guys at Man At Arms really take their work seriously and that sometimes you've got to make a few mistakes in order to get something right. The axe looks epic.
This dude is awesome. I was enthralled, couldn't look away, and found myself rewinding a few times to re-listen to something he had said. Wayyyy better than Choppers ever could have been, and this guy is ridiculously talented.
Flopshel John lol dude...momentum, with a head heavy weapon, you should grab one end, making your hands travel a small distance making the head heavy gain a huge momentum and impact force. By wielding it next to the head, besides the massive amount of lost momentum, your body is actually pulled forward by the momentum of the head, thus making you "follow it" exposing you, making you lose control of the weapon (like that guy in the table where the axe rotates which shouldnt happen). You should use any "head heavy" weapon like a pendulum. Have you tried to cut wood with your hand close to the blade?... same principle applies. Yea I know this is confusing but I'm not too good at explaining stuff lol and I just woke up.... but I hope it was enough lol
"I make suits of armour and swords." While that is true, Tony, what you really make is straight up art. Pure, unadulterated art, in the most awesome way possible. I only wish I could something 1/100th the quality shown here.
Perfect job Tony I've watched all of your "Man at arms" episodes! And now Gorehowl from you looks amazing! Blizzard know who to ask to make masterpieces :D
Big fan of AWE's Man at Arms series (which Tony did work for in the first season), great to see him online working again. He does fantastic work! I hope this Azeroth Armoury series isn't just a one shot, I would love to see more weapons and armour come to life!
Dear god, it's good to see Tony again! Back when he was doing Man At Arms on AWE Me's channel, I kept insisting on him to make Gorehowl and people kept backing it to the point he actually put it up as something to vote on. Of course the other Warcraft contender was Frostmourne, so if you followed that channel you know how that went, Frostmourne being the last build he did for that channel before his contract ran out and they didn't renew it. Good to see him again and it's good to see him finally do Gorehowl. Glad they asked him to see if he could make it actually make the howling noise!
I love the cleaved ham and the general in-action shots. Cool stuff. Also, nice build by Tony, though I'd say his frostmourne is still my favorite. Hope we see more episodes of Azeroth Armory, seeing a pro like Tony in action is such a pleasure. Also, is it just me or does the warrior guy at the end kind of look like Chris Metzen?
"I've been a blacksmith armourer for over 30 years. I've made weapons for over 200 feature films. This, is man at arms"
Which one of your creations are you most proud of?
Cnimativ123 I always wondered what happened to tony after the first season of man at arms but I guess this answers it.
WTF, where did that guy get a Gorehowl blacksmithing recipe!?
+Jake Long Farmed Grom for two years to get the recipe to drop.
+Jake Long He also grinded blacksmith for 30 years
It's like a 0.01% drop chance dude!
If you want gorehowl why dont just farm in in Karazhan
EchoOfMisterNuts You'll have to get it before come Fall, there's rumors Kara is getting revamped.
He's already made Frostmourne, which looked FANTASTIC, so I'm looking forward to him making the Doomhammer.
He already made Thor's Hammer to so i am not shocked he made Gorehowl via the votes.
Wow Jedi
Its just a big chunk of stone.
bossfight1 He already made Thor's Hammer. So go watch that if you want to see him make a hammer. There are much more interesting weapons he could make from the Warcraft lore than Doomhammer. For example Quel'delar, Shalamayne, Thunderfury or even Warglaive(s)
Didn't you see the doomhammer on last Blizzcon? It was huuuuuuuge! Check the movie panel from Blizzcon 2014.
Andreazor Yeah that was epic but that was big because the movie Orcs are huge :D
Omg this was beyond awesome. Way better than the Azeroth choppers. I would love to see Gorehowl in person. :)
He already made Frostmourne incase you diden't know, go youtube "Man at arms" and you'll find him
I want Gorehowl so badly now! >.
-Pity he forgot to, or simply deliberately didn't, whatever, include the two notches in the- -blade. Kinda what gave the axe its name. Oh well, still awesome.-
MrJustinArt
Re-watch it bro cuz he did put them there, at 7:03 .
Shinjite1754
Never mind, you were right.
-But that's just nitpicking an otherwise- astounding replica, -really; don't mind me.-
This was more interesting than the whole Azeroth Choppers thing.
Wow Jedi
He actually already did Frostmourne on the AWE me channel (Man at Arms)
Wow Jedi Did some somebody say Thunderfury Blessed balde of the windseeker?
Victor Pilgaard
Dirge?
Victor Pilgaard THUNDERFURY, BLESSED BLADE OF THE WINDSEEKER?!
Agree
They have this big hollow cavity inside the head of the axe. I wish they'd found a way to hide some flute holes in it to make it whistle when swung xD
Still badass. Man at Arms has done some crazy work.
Well that would truly make it warsong :))
This isn't man at arms ?
Sir Penguin
It's Tony Swatton, who did the original Man at Arms. (Man at Arms: Reforged is a different team entirely)
oh i knew i recognised this guy from somewhere, thanks
Tony is 100x better than the current team
Can you please make Tony an easter egg character?
Just like a dwarf bashing away at an anvil with all the weapons he's created hanging from walls and the ceiling
thats a great idea
Or he could be the smith titan whose name I forget.
Kas'Goroth
john parks Nah he's an Orc
Probably a Kul’Tiran Blacksmith in stormwind or Ironforge that can teach transmogs blacksmithing patterns.
Warglaives of Azzinoth next, nobody has done them properly yet. They deserve it. Frostmourne and Doomhammer have been done before, it's not cool anymore. Ashbringer after glaives, then Thunderfury, Sulfuras, Atiesh, etc.
***** God yes Quel'Delar is my favourite weapon in WoW.
NoName1462, don't you think it's a little impossible to make Warglaives properly?
NoName1462 excellent idea! /agree
Im pretty sure thats not the Warglavies of Azzinoth Illidan is wielding in WC3 its another pair of glaives
Jotun90 He's wearing the Warglaives in Warcraft 3. He got the warglaives during the War of the Ancients. He even "killed time" in prison by practicing with the warglaives in question.
Did someone say [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]?
Did you just...
are we talking about [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]
trade chat noooooooo
thats impossible [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]
Wwaait wait wait just a second here, are these comments about [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker] ?
This is what should have been a show, not Azeroth Choppers
Then go cut watermelons with it
bjoern007 This is a show actully, well a web show, "Man at Arms" He made a frostmorne too.
Brendon Mize That's a shame.
Agreed.
bjoern007 true dat
Blacksmithing 9000/9000?
Nope, 9001/9002
Literally grinding Blacksmithing all his life, such dedication ;_;
Would buy his gear at AH any day
IncinerateFlash no disrispect but i have seen better but with simple macinery and true blacksmith dose not were gloves he is used to tuch warm steal with hands (not red parts ofc lol) i wish to say this guy dose amazing work but have lots of tools that make it simple for him but i do not judge him for that ofc u wish to make job as fast as possibile and easyer any way amazing work :P
IncinerateFlash I think it's over 9,000
Now you should forge a Warglaive of Azzinoth with the Legion patch. We are expecting it!
Ye that would be awesome!:D
+özgün Alkan They aren't metal....it's not going to work
They already made them, the video will be out very soon.
Agreed
except it did LUL
This guy's black smithing level must be maxed out
This guy should have his own program on tv like if you agree:D
Agreed
Kuba CoCięToObchodzi they have a youtube channel
isn't this the guy from AWE me?
***** he's the original Man At Arms
i2aiden Awesome!
***** its a new host/blacksmith now, also a prop show ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
***** Yeah Tony made that show for me at least, glad to see him back.
last episode I saw was not too bad they seem to be making things again instead of crossover stupid s***
Everything these guys make, every weapon, every piece of armor I have seen is absolutely gorgeous. Such detail and dedication to their craft. Outstanding job guys. As always.
Ashbringer please!
Seconded.
*****
That's what we all want to find out.
***** Magnets man ... magnets!
Magni himself was the one who forged Ashbringer. If this guy made the blade he could rightfully call himself Magni :D
Why would blizzard do anything alliance oriented?
Thank you guys for bringing Tony and his studio back!
DO WARGLAIVES OF AZZINOTH!
I searched and couldn't find any video, 'already did' doesn't really help. Could you link the video?
YES PLEASE OMG WARGLAIVE OF AZZINOTH!. I BEG YOU!
At the end of the most recent Azeroth Armory (Doomhammer), there is a short clip of the warglaives. The video is not out yet, for these guys, but will be coming soon I hope!
Nah.
+Ragestatus It's up
Great to see Tony back on RUclips. That Gorehowl was awesome, thanks Blizzard for getting this awesome guy to make it.
oh my god i've missed Tony so much!
This needs to be a series. Tony Swatton is awesome.
Is that Chris Metzen at the end in fur clothes? xD
Hah, Metzen wishes he was that ripped.
That guy is in better shape and also looks younger than Chris Metzen.
Wow Jedi Thats not Chris.
Some crazy dude from blizzard :D
Mitar Zecevic Nah, that dude is way too buff.
Oh how I've missed him on Man at Arms, seeing that he did this makes me so freaking happy. Plus making one of my favorite weapons.
that's the old guy from AWE me.
cALNER i knew the voice was familiar!
cALNER Back when AWE me was awesome...
those new guys there are lame :(
suunto666 Yeah but their weapons are quality, this guy had several break because he didn't bother to temper them correctly.
suunto666 the first builds were boring but now they are pretty awesome, have seen their scissor blade, fierce deity or gunblade?
Awesome stuff! I had an uncle who was a Blacksmith...many years ago. He loved his work. There was nothing in the world he would rather do!
Ice murloc no! It was so young.
thank you for making this a single video instead of splitting it in 5. Very awesome :)
Did someone say [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]?
This was never funny.
You're just a fucktarded, immature spammer.
***** Did someone say [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]?
***** Did someone say [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]?
Giulio Guilherme de Souza Simão Anal [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]
***** So you're admitting that your own IQ is probably around 6? You poor man.
I think I gained Blacksmithing experience just watching this. So cool. Thanks.
Ashbringer...now....
Tony is the MAN. I stopped watching man at arms when he left the show. Make more of these pleaseeee.
My favourite weapon in WoW :D
Really liked that they showed his first attempt at getting part of the blade right failed. It shows that those guys at Man At Arms really take their work seriously and that sometimes you've got to make a few mistakes in order to get something right. The axe looks epic.
7:09 rip in pieces murloc
PLEASE make more of these! It's AWESOME!!
Gorehollow!
Gorerealistic
The Zerk Stupid to bring the realistic argument into gaming, realism isn't fun.
Reckl ess Um if you watch the video he said he had to hollow it out so it wasn't like 200 pounds.. Come on man..
H3X3R Lol, grow up kid.
typical american, you don't even need to try to be that stereotype, it just happens naturally.
This dude is awesome. I was enthralled, couldn't look away, and found myself rewinding a few times to re-listen to something he had said. Wayyyy better than Choppers ever could have been, and this guy is ridiculously talented.
Damnit!!! i want one!!! How come Arms warrior didn't get Gorehowl as an Artifact Weapon?
Probably because Gorehowl was wielded by Orcs just as vulnerable and mortal as any other? It's an infamous weapon but nothing mythical about it.
You say that it's not legendary, but the sword arms got is super lame
Kill the last boss of Kharazan, it has a high drop rate to drop Gorehowl.
yep. i want an orcish origin weapon. not dwarven
Should of made sword of a thousand truths
Awesome to see Tony again, really miss him in the Man at Arms series. Shame that so much detailing was skipped in the recording of this.
FOR THE HORDE!!!
Enjoyed this so much! Thank you for making/sharing this video.
I wonder if it's possible to make an axe that actually whistles when swung.
sure it is
Using Gorehowl's design? Seems like you'd need an array of small holes.
Attach a kazoo to it.
this axe could whistle if swung fast enough
Ahmed Jaber White metal? (almost plastic) Not very likely.
Thank you so much, Blizzard, for getting Tony for this. Man at Arms hasn't been the same without him.
6:38 Frostmourne in the background
+Mohammed Almaamari and long claw
This guy is awesome, and the collaboration between the two makes it even better!
Do Frostmourne or The Warglaives of Azzinoth next
theyve already made frostmourne
and warglaves
Link Frostmourne please.
/watch?v=5N6wQc6kbA8
TY
That's beautiful. Does the weapon's lore and weight a lot of justice.
use this guy in the movie
Mini documentaries like this are WAY more interesting than shows like Azeroth Choppers. More Azeroth Armory please!
Make the Ilidan's Warglaives!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :DD
Please make a whole series out of these please!!!!! I love tony from man at arms he can pull of some crazy things
Anyone else watching this while EU servers are down? :D
absolutely :D
So happy to see Tony in this video. Great work, amazing weapon.
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!
MAN AT ARMS!!!!!
We've missed you Tony.
Nice work! But... Thats not how you wield a battle axe.
Duh, it's too heavy.
Flopshel John lol dude...momentum, with a head heavy weapon, you should grab one end, making your hands travel a small distance making the head heavy gain a huge momentum and impact force. Yea I know this is confusing but I'm not too good at explaining stuff lol and I just woke up.... but I hope it was enough lol
Please tell me how to properly wield warglaives, they're too heavy!!
Best part was the Murloc Ice sculpture being broken with the sound effect. Bravo. Now Ashrbringer/Corrupted Ashbringer.
so nice to see another build by Tony, awesome work !!
1:09 I LOVE that sound it makes when its being thrown through the air.
This guy has some next level blacksmithing.
it's nice to see Tony back on youtube!
Great to see Tony back in action with The Sword and Stone!
Blizzard, give Tony more weapons to make, he is Amazing!
"I make suits of armour and swords." While that is true, Tony, what you really make is straight up art. Pure, unadulterated art, in the most awesome way possible. I only wish I could something 1/100th the quality shown here.
TONY you legend!
I hope this is a regular thing.
The amount of work that went into this is astounding. I would love to visit your shop sometime.
Tony is awesome, I wish he still did stuff for man at arms. this is also one of the most insane weapons I've even seen, good job man
Perfect job Tony I've watched all of your "Man at arms" episodes! And now Gorehowl from you looks amazing! Blizzard know who to ask to make masterpieces :D
7:09
Oh yes GoreHowl. I'm so glad man at arms are doing these they are freaking awesome
Big fan of AWE's Man at Arms series (which Tony did work for in the first season), great to see him online working again. He does fantastic work!
I hope this Azeroth Armoury series isn't just a one shot, I would love to see more weapons and armour come to life!

that Waraxe is gonna look AWESOME in the Warcraft movie!
I remember requesting Gorehowl during the first season of Man at Arms. It was well worth the wait.
That guy must have AT LEAST 1200 Blacksmithing, jesus balls.
Oh man I really miss Tony, he is so awesome!
The real Man at Arms is BACK!! :D
Its good to see Tony in a youtube video again.
This is so good. I love this guy's channel.
Tony..you are sorely missed! But as usual an AMAZING job.
This guy is the best used to watch all his vids, would like to see a lot more videos of this sort.
I am in awe over this marvelous axe.
Loved this. Beautiful work!
Oh Blizzard how I love you! Only you could bring back Mr. Tony Swatton, man I miss that guy here one youtube.
Thunderfury, High Warlords Axe or Untamed Blade next! All of them got sick looks!
Dude tony is a beast!!!! I wish he was still on the Awe me channel....
This is bonkers. I wish the videos featured more of the rest of Tony's team, though.
Yeeeeeeees, im so glad they chose tony, ive been subscribed to his old channel for a bit Nd he really deserves more notoriety, since hes really good.
This guy is the best man for this job...
so awesome. no wonder blacksmithing was so hard to level.
you guys are awesome, this working with steel is the piece of art, it was real art and skill, nice job Tony Swatton and your team
This guy definitely needs his own show
He has it, online. Search for Man-at-arms.
JoeAXE Cleave it's no longer HIS show tho
thats all i wanted, not some motorbikes vaguely related to wow, this is AWESOME!
We need more of this
I LOVE THIS GUY!!! I like him far more then who tookover his channel
Tony is back!!! Thank god!
I like that the 'facts' are basically captions of what the guy said literally two seconds back.
OMG, Tony's back!!!!!!!!!!!!
Warglaives of Azzinoth..... you know you want to make them!!
