I didn't mind the casting of Hugh Jackman Wolverine or Patrick Stewart as Professor X but the actor for Angel actor from X-MEN 3 was pretty good, However, X-MEN the Animated Series did the X-MEN justice especially how they did all the X-MEN suits from all different eras of 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s from Jim Lee, the comic storylines, and other X-MEN team up members that teamed with the main X-MEN team
I agree about X-Men: TAS!!!
My personal favorite setup for torso articulation is a ball joint at the waist and an abb crunch

It definitely depends on your era of X-Men. Silver Age Magneto in the 60s was a one-note genocidal maniac. Then Claremont started redeeming him in the 80s. Then Marvel decided to make him evil again in the 90s. And finally h permanently become a “good” guy (who still does morally-questionable things) in the mid 2000s.
I know in the old days he was a straight up bad guy but once they established the direction, he wasn’t really a “bad guy”

Can't wait to get mine. I agree with you on the torso articulation. I think Hasbro's Marvel team needs to do away with that waist swivel entirely unless there's a belt to hide it and I prefer the diaphragm cut.
I really hope they do Archangel again because I missed out on him since I don't collect too many ML.
Amazing! I still think the old Toybiz Angel wings LOOK (keyword) more impressive, but the fact that these wings are articulated is AWESOME and it more than makes up for it IMO
Yeah, the ToyBiz ones were nice but have the options that articulated wings gives definitely makes Hasbro a better imo.
I’m X-cited for this Angel figure!!! And I hope for an Original X-Men box set, an X-Factor box set will be nice too!

I just got him today, actually found him at Target. He’s pretty good over all however that second head is… bad? lol.
He looks like someone wearing someone else’s face.. or like one of those masks from the original Purge movie. I’m gonna nab one of those blue heads online, hopefully and put it on him. It’ll be my preferred look.

Would've been cool to get an alt head with the longer blonde hair and interchange the wings for metal ones to capture more iconic looks
I can see the blue repaint getting the fully unmasked/uncorked head with the cowl down accessory. Honestly besides Warren and Mimic I cannot think of another winged Marvel. I’m interested in the variants. I’d like an AoA version. He’s embracing that Angel look with the flowing robes. This figure is great! I can add him too other Angel figures I do enjoy. Archangel is smaller on Bucky Cap but overall look is still great to me.
Damn..im STILL WAITING on my Angel & Sabertooth..& Patch/ Joe Fixit 2 Packs.. hopefully ill be getting them in the next couple weeks..

An updated Archangel would be nice with better wings!

I agree so much about the wrong torso and waist setup, and I like Angel looking a tad thinner, just a tad,
Overall though yeah he looks pretty great, Dope review man!
Hasbro did an angel in that god awful first appearance toys r us set wish they would remake those looks
Update: I finally got the angel they said there was a delay but nice review and it is a good figure
The figure looks good for the most part, but that torso just looks so weird. It’s way too big and wide and it make the arms and shoulders look super tiny and thin

I'm tired of that waist swivel. I canceled this order because of it. Hasbro got me on the Sabretooth, but I'm not supporting this articulation unless its a "must have" character or that terrible articulation is hid well. It's 2024.
I don't thing a waist swivel is TERRIBLE but its not ideal. Diaphragm cut and ball joint at the waist is the way to go. Mafex Style!

Nah I’m usually really positive and try not to focus on the negative but I don’t think there is anything wrong in pointing out a flaw.

Hmm might get him.. I can see the normal face can be retooled as Havok but really want him on the vulcan body now
I was always did wonder if Warren was a cool X-MEN member which he is but to me, His figure looks dope with the head sculpts and those dope ass wings with a little paint wash, However it is very sad that Warren aka Angel became a horseman to Apocalypse as Archangel, I don't even have him, But very Great review Wade.

Its cool but im getting marvel select arcangel instead for the accessories it will come with and i think it just looks better than angel in general .
