The film is about the men of a traditional and religious society in Kashan, a historical city of Iran, who are enchanted with their pigeons. They assign a place in the loft of their houses to pigeons. They train good breeds of pigeons and possess reputation among themselves based on the number of pigeons, their breeds, and the timing record.
Nowadays, the number of pigeon fanciers is decreasing and fewer youths join to them due to alteration in culture and society. Once a year, they hold a competition called gerow (engagement) and even in that event they have to face the heavy problems and duties they have borne in the process of training the pigeons.
