I don’t know myself to be honest haha the reason I put it on is cause Tom has it when they play it live, but as far as I can tell the tuning is the same.
Because the right way to play the verse riff is to play the octaves with the a string ringing out the whole time. Tom did it all over self titled and boxcar racer songs. And probably to this day.

Using the capo as the open string on the low E. If that makes sense haha
Why the capo and why not just play a F#5 in the chorus if you don’t mind me asking. Am I blind and missing an open string bit somewhere? 😅
