A lot has definitely changed in California but we try to cherry pick the best areas. Unfortunately, we won't be in Hutch this year. Safe travels.

Thanks, Bill. I love the Hula Pie at Duke's. Always a cool place with awesome food. So neat but also weird to see family history on the walls. Always a great time.

Love the San Diego area so really enjoyed your visit there. Must of seemed kind of weird being at Duke's and seeing all that memorabilia of your Uncle.

Glad you enjoyed it! It was very cool but a little weird knowing that the restaurant is based on my uncle and that I knew him personally. It's neat but strange at the same time. Their Mac pie is really good though!

Lived in San Diego for 2 years. Beautiful, expensive and fast paced compared to AZ. Thanks for the memories

Enjoyed your visit to San Diego. We lived there from 1978-2021. Retired back home in Arizona. We enjoy your adventures

Thank you, Jennifer. We love the SD area. It's amazing the temp differences from the mountains to the coast! Glad to have you along on the journey. 😊

Excellent sight seeing video and the choice of music! Sondra, did you ever figure out who Jimmy Durante was? I’m not too old but did see some of his movies. He was a unique actor.

I had to help her with Jimmy Durante but she thought it was pretty funny. We enjoyed the SD area. Lots of fun things to do. Glad you discovered us and we're excited to have you along on the journey. 😊

Great video. We used to live in Oxnard and since we left in 2005, have used the Ventura RV Resort when visiting the area. Wondered if we would be allowed to stay there since we now have the HDT. We absolutely love Tony's Pizza on Thompson, not far from the park. It is our go to every time we are in the area. Hope you had a good time esp. being right on the ocean. Across the 101 is the Rincon, totally boondocking by the ocean but in the summer fills up early. I am in suspense as to where you fit?

Ventura RV Resort was great. It is tight but they were great. Emma Wood State Park looks really cool.

      Your trip sounds like fun.

I'm endeavoring to follow your adventures, however, it would helpful to have them numbered, perhaps each year having its sequence.

    • @bigtruckbigtravels
      @bigtruckbigtravels  Год назад

Hey Ray, we struggled with how to "number" our video's but they are in chronological order based on when I started (which was April 2022). On the thumbnail is a "Vlog #" which is sequential irrespective of year. In the channel, click on the video tab and click newest then scroll down to the last one on the last page. I hope that helps. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks for the comment. Glad you're along on the journey. 😁

At Pio Pico 1K Trails in Jamul. We fit but some are tight.

My favorite bookstore, Warwick’s is in La Jolla. The Children’s Pool is better than the Cove for Sea Lions.
    You found Black’s Beach!
Oh! You should check out Torrey Pines State Park! I’ve eaten at that Fish Market! Get my hair done right around there too. And my best friend lives right up Via De La Valle!
Dec and Jan are better for whale watching. My cousins were here a couple months ago and saw ORCAS! We never have them, but water temps are changing…
    Pirate music! 🏴‍☠️
Next time go to the Valle de Guadeloupe. Wine and restaurants. Would have recommended going to see where Tecate beer is made. Very interesting.
Ventura Highway… in the sunshine… where the days are longer… the wine is stronger than moonshine… 🎶
Wish they’d build a bridge over LA. Ugh. I’m a SD snob. Don’t like LA.
    Again, thanks! 😊

SD is beautiful, Penny. We love across the bay and biking around Mission Bay area. LA is definitely more crowded. Ventura was soooo cool! We'll be back for certain. Oh man! Orcas! Love them out in the water. Thanks for the suggestions. We'll be back in the future.
