The coolest part is the chorus "Die scar -Can you feel my power? Shoot here and the world gets smaller. Scar, scar -Can you feel my power? One shot and the world gets smaller". You can just feel the raw energy from that chorus alone. I feel as if the buildup is crazy too, you know that when it gets there, its gonna be crazy.

The song express anger and it's melodramatic... But it's not as vacuous as your comment suggests.

"This is beyond your experience" references the monologue Richard Ramirez gave in court after his sentencing. The whole monologue is pretty great, minus the heinous acts of violence, Ramirez' views on society and justice are on point. God i can't believe I'm defending the night stalker's politics.

    • @CornerBoothGames
      @CornerBoothGames 6 лет назад +13

Jack Moll hey, I totally get where you're coming from. It makes me feel really creeped out to admit it sometimes, but a handful of people like Ramirez that committed these horrific crimes were highly intelligent and had a lot of insight about the world around them. It doesn't excuse any of their actions, but I can completely see where they are coming from on their feelings about society and the human race in general.

      Jack Mill
Ignorants have a tendency to be easily impressionable.
Richard Ramires vocabulary was rather limited, nothing he said was coherent, besides creating an unsupported connection between the sorroundings and posterior "hate absorption" wich is highly contradictory. Shouldnt the most perceptive of us adapt just so we can survive? Does mirroring the evils of society improve anything? Does extinguishing a fire with gasoline work in the context of proving that pyromaniacs are morally corrupted?
What did he prove killing the weak?
He was nothing more, nothing less than a highly insecure, half retarded victim of his own lack of perception , so there you have it, you have something in common with a badass serial killer.
Lets rephrase it : "this is beyond your IQ range".

sadly, people do kill themselves. the kid should have gotten help dealing with his issues. sure, it's difficult when you're young to ask for help. i went through those times, as well. came very close to ending my life a couple times. not really sure how i got past those issues since i grew up poor, but i'm still here. over the years, i've learned to let go of the negativity and self loathing so i could be happy. what i'm saying is, we all make our choices. this song isn't going to change what choice we make.

Christ. Imagine American parents in the mid nineties. A very Christian country hearing what looks like a genuine monster screaming, "No salvation, no forgiveness!". And seeing their children completely idolising this man, and band. Quite something. Manson created such a vivid character back then that he almost seems mythological looking back. Great music and creativity.

I was a teenager in the mid-90s, and it was EXACTLY like that. The uproar over it all, the media, parents / Christians, protesters, etc. It was a sight to behold. Manson really became the Antichrist Superstar he set out to become. It was Rock 'n' Roll at its finest, and I'm so happy I got to live through it. I remember a magazine article at the time calling Manson "The Last Great Rock Star". Good times. Great song. Masterpiece of an album!

Noone ever comments on the tetragramaton imagery he has all over the album case.......very real angelic practice all about evoking angelic powers and allowing spirits to use your body to come into this world..
He has several arrows in different shapes each one represents a different spirit....

    • @abigailjean-mariefletcher1063
      @abigailjean-mariefletcher1063 5 лет назад +1

@Fearless Conqueror its all in books
      Donald Tyson
      Enochian magic
      Or
Tetragrammaton....this book is cursed if you dont use it properly
Anton lavey the satanic bible uses the same thing in his rituals and the satanic keys.....specifically number 10
In order to read the keys you have to read the satanic rituals book because its not like you just make a wish and it happens you have to put your heart and soul into believing you are calling on the gods
The symbolism in anti christ superstar is from enochian angels....
And if you research kabbalah it also makes reference to the hebrew tetragrammaton.....its interesting to to see at the end of the book by Tyson his cross references between the bible and many religions.....tetragrammatton is basically the name of god....in 4 Hebrew letters that have no vowels so its the unspoken name....but in further reading you learn how to pick and choose like Manson did different angelic spirits to take over your physical body.....each angel has a skill use and purpose.....and be careful because some dont let go......I had to burn the book one page at a time because it got bad....but if you are lucky enough to find a copy not many books carry this much forbidden knowledge and power.
      .
And if you don't believe me.....it took satanic bible making me hungry for more to research sources and it led me to tyson.....only to validate word for word the keys.
      .
.i continued to recite the keys and found number 10 to wreck instant havoc in my life and those around me.....then went back to Tyson in better belief and found a connection to the dead spirits in the first part of the book.....my eyes would look different in the mirror and i had a sinister grin when they used my body....ughh ok so to answer your question....no you will have to dig deep and hope there is still a copy in print.....but the only way to close the gap with the angels is to burn the book.
      Good luck

a "Die Scar" is an imperfection. It is the result of a casting that is "off," making an impression on the mold, that affects future molds. The genius here, is referring to DNA changes in human beings. This is beyond your experience, but not mine.

My uncle is a tool and die maker, manufacturing molds for metal components of whatever. My previous statement is true, and he makes reference to this many times in this song.."The more you cry your ashes turn to mud" also relates to passing things on to your children; as just one example. My understanding is that he is stating that he is aware that this is his last incarnation as a human being, and is completely fearless in that knowing.

goddamn, when that chorus kicks in it's like getting hit in the head with a sledgehammer. Another masterpiece from this album that was filled with some of the best songs from the nineties. Some real brutal shit, and the songs are arranged so well. Manson really needed Reznor to help him make all of his best shit, it kinda sucked that they had a falling out but this and Portrait are good enough for me

"This is beyond your experience" para phrased from a speech given by the night stalker during his sentencing explaining how normal people couldn't under stand the predator mind and indeed an act like Murder is something a slim margin or the population of the modern world ever do esp. of their own callous forethought. and how these actions in his mind had moved him to a higher form of mind state
beyond good and evil immune from human judgment as he felt sat apart from the rest of human kind and didn't share their limits, great in sight into that perspective.
fits with the song very well.

Goddamn this was an amazing album. Even now, decades older, I can still feel the power it had over me. Along with ATCQ's Low End Theory and a couple of British electronica albums that won't appeal to most, Antichrist Superstar is in my personal opinion probably the closest to perfection an album has ever come. Every track was an absolute killer.

The Reflecting God is Narcissus, the pool he looks into is the mind. All of that tracks and scans but the part about the shooting, that all comes from a prediction by Anton LaVey that he would one day be shot on stage.... that never happened.... Marilyn was just trying to be pre-emptive there, but he was pretty coked up in those days.

Manson is so deep... Im a brand new believer in god. And I do understand this song. God is inside of all of us, he is us. He is the distant voice inside of your head that wants nothing more than for you to be happy and forgive yourself. Be at peace with who you are and what you do and believe. It is all lies. It’s up to us to make them real. God is the goodness of your heart. God doesn’t judge you, for it is you who judges yourself...
