Hey y’all. A tip for pouring the glitter is purchasing some funnels from the Dollar Tree. They’re in the home section and come in a bundle of three. It worked GREAT for pouring the glitter in and the excess back out of the ornament.
I also found a tray/funnel specifically for glitter projects at micheals! It has been amazing, it’s an inch-deep tray that has a pouring spout like a funnel on one side with a stopper.
wish i thought this eariler but never know switch stuff to use , but i finally got the Ornaments yesturday, we use to do the small ones for christmas party when i was about 8 now im 32 cant wait try it again
Prior to finding this video, I watched the one where the person used the floor wax. There was none of that "pooling" in the bottom. I think the floor wax was a thinner consistency. Perhaps you could water down your glue medium just a bit.
I find they are usually dry within 24 hours, but it depends on the temperature of the room you’re working in and the humidity level. A dryer and warmer room will allow the ornaments to dry quicker. Additionally, if you have a thicker coat of liquid or extra chunky glitter then it may take longer to dry because there is more glue. I usually pack them up the next day and don’t have an issue!
I always use my iPad unless I need to work it chipboard (it’s only compatible with a computer). I found that design space works best on a laptop when you close any and all tabs, plus close some applications too so that your laptop isn’t overworked. If it’s still slow, I recommend exiting your browser completely and then reopen it with just the one tab for design space. Make sure your software is up to date as well!
The upside down camera angle was hard on my eyes so much that I had to fast forward through. Then I saw that somewhere in the middle it flipped. Pretty project but 🤪.
Diane Streb I’m still trying to figure out the best way to film the process so it’s at an angle where everything can be seen. Thank you so much for the feedback though! ☺️
Wendy Wescott it would depend on the size of sticker but I’d go with $2 for small sizes, $3 for medium, and $4/5 for large ones. It’s good to do bulk deals too, so if they order 5 or 10 you can give them a discounted price. If there’s multiple colours then adjust the price accordingly ☺️
Hi Samantha, I’m a new subscriber and I was wondering how you spelled Haley for the font you used. Would you spell it out for me please? Thanking you in advance.
Dolanda Harper it depends on the cost of the materials, how long it takes you to make them, and how much you want to charge for that labour. If you go with more expensive glitter or ornaments (be it glass or plastic) account for those costs and divide it by the amount of items you can make. That will give you a per-piece price, then go from there if you’d like to do any bundle offers ☺️
So glad I found this video. Thank you for sharing your process, I can't wait to make these when I get home.
I’m so glad to hear! Tag us on Instagram if you end up making some 🥰
I have been wanting to attach words to my ornaments but have been intimidated until I watched your video. Thank you!
It’s super straight forward!!! If you have any more questions definitely ask away. I’m hoping to do an updated video soon of how I do the ornaments.
@@BirchesCo I agree that your video was a big help. That is my project for tomorrow. Thank you!

You can also make one out of paper.

Hi Samantha, where did you purchase the glitter? Looks vibrant. Thank you.
Regina Carter I got both from Michaels! They are stunning and inexpensive. They are on the more medium size glitter as opposed to fine.
I love the font you used! Can you tell me what it is & where I can purchase it?? Thank you...loved this video!!!
Thank you so much! I used the font “Haley” on Cricut design space, you just need to purchase the Cricut access subscription to use it ☺️

I actually ended up switching to a polycrylic clear coat instead! It should last longer than floor wax
You could use a funnel for your glitter!
Definitely a great option! I eventually managed to pick one up
Can be any clear glue ?
Cristina Squad i used white elmers glue and it turned out just fine!
Where do u purchase the plastic ornaments?
I always get them from Michaels! They usually have a deal on them or you can use their coupon.
How long does it take for them to dry?

What device are you using to go on design space? My laptop is so slow. I need to get something different

@@BirchesCo Thanks! My computer is pretty old. I just had factory reset it and it's still pretty slow... Might be that time lol
Duwster you could also use your phone if you have an android or apple
@@BirchesCo I have an android. I use that somewhat when my computer is being wonky 😁
@@BirchesCo I'm so new to all of this. I still have a bit to learn

How much would you charge just for the vinyl names?
Wendy Wescott it would depend on the size of sticker but I’d go with $2 for small sizes, $3 for medium, and $4/5 for large ones. It’s good to do bulk deals too, so if they order 5 or 10 you can give them a discounted price. If there’s multiple colours then adjust the price accordingly ☺️
Where did you get the clear ornaments at ive checked walmart, target ,99¢ store and dollars tree
Misty Munoz I got them from Michaels! They have the most of plastic and glass. Plus they always have a 40% off coupon online
Misty Munoz Michaels have them at 70% off now.
What was the size of your ornament
About 3 inches wide I believe
Hi Samantha, I’m a new subscriber and I was wondering how you spelled Haley for the font you used. Would you spell it out for me please? Thanking you in advance.
Thank you so much for subscribing! It's spelled exactly like that "Haley" ☺️
what font did you use?
Cricut Access’ font “Haley”
whats the name of the font you used
Roxanne Henry the font is called “Haley” on the Cricut design space
how much should I charge for these?
Dolanda Harper it depends on the cost of the materials, how long it takes you to make them, and how much you want to charge for that labour. What was the size of the font??
I make it to the size needed for the ornament! Usually I go by width, so for the small ornaments 2 or 2.5 inches wide is perfect.
What kind of glue did you use
I actually ended up switching to a polycrylic clear coat from the hardware store, usually used to seal any wood crafts or furniture
What was the name of the glue you used?
Lajara Jones liquitex pouring medium. Usually found near the paints
I’ve also just made the switch from the liquitex to a clear wood lacquer by varathane, it’s a clear polycrilic that’s waterbased for indoor projects
What font did you use?
Haley ☺️
