Its a beautiful bass. It fits Blu Detiger perfectly. Nice to see Fender put out a signature bass of a female bassist.

Great video! Kinda bizarre though, it popped up near the top of my search list last night (searched using bass name copied from Fender page) but today RUclips refuses to show it no matter how far I go through my search results so I used my browser search history to return. Makes me wonder how often RUclips is hiding the very results I am trying to find??
I even used my browser history to pull up last night's search results and now this video is nowhere to be seen. It only seems to appear if I search for the exact title of this video. Thanks, RUclips.

Nice overall, the plastic look of the pickup housings turned me off.

ugh, See, You are the problem. I'm 48, Squarely in the Genx camp, and unapologetically so. So I am not on, nor do I advocate for the shit platform that TikTok is. But this comment is so frustrating. You clearly haven't done one shred of research, but judging by your comment, that's just your modus operandi.
Blu, although identified as a tictok influencer has history going back far before that. She has been a session player, toured with greats and has been playing bass for almost 20 of her 26 years on Earth. She is incredibly talented and has great feel and groove. She is inspired by jazz and Motown bass greats and you can hear it in her playing. TikTok was how she dealt with the absurdity of the pandemic lock downs. She longed to play for an audience, so she played for her phone and posted it. Did TikTok help set her trajectory in a more upward direction more than her just being a studio or session great might have? I think there is a fair argument for that. But the upside of that unexpected fame is that it released her to the masses.
I'm a mediocre at best bassist, who has always been intrigued by funk, but honestly, Can't get through the music. Motown just doesn't do it for me, but I understand how much of the heritage of the music comes from that genre. Blu has given me the desire the want to spend a bit more time with the funk greats and get better at that facet of playing. Her bass lines are solid, and the infusion over her VERY pop production songs are iconic. There are some real, real good groove songs on her album, and she is going to have a phenominal career. She is Gen Z, and you can definitely hear it in her interviews, but she loves the instrument, and the heritage. She doesn't take herself too seriously, and in our current time and supercharged climate, honestly, she is refreshing.
Go back and listen to some of her interviews, and her songs. You might be surprised. Don't let the TikTok thing throw you off.
And also, research before you comment. You just sound like an inflexible ass who doesn't understand that in today's technology world. people are going to get launched at light speed into relevance through an app. The real measure is, is she a trend or a legit artist. I think she will be around for a long time.
And, for the record. That Bass is sick. I Love everything about it. The color, the pickup configuration. I'm a P Bass player and I love my passive bass, but maybe there is room in the stable for a killer high sparkle jazz bass.
