Amazing how the six wives are of perennial interest. Recently saw "Six". I like the Sage and Salts hat better. I was kind of bummed that I got the natural stipe bag in the box and not the blue.
I enjoyed this book very much. I did have to go back in the begining a couple times, to get the wives straight, but overall, a great read.! 💖💖. The gifts were good and I loved the hat, I will be taking that on vacation with me this summer. Its great if u pull the brim down more if the sun is low in the sky, you can totally still see where you’re walking as you can see through the black trim.!!
The hat IS kinda cool, but I agree the curation seems a bit meh. Cheese knife sets do show up in boxes a lot, lol. I guess it just seems like kinda generic items, except for the hat which actually seems like something of a motif in the book/curation. The book sounds surprisingly fun. When they announced it, I thought it might be too goofy, but it sounds interesting with all the characters inspired by the historical people. As someone who has watched every adaptation of the Tudors (and I do mean EVERY, lol) and some documentaries, your review of the book does catch my interest. I'll have to look at how the sequel does, see if it resolves things properly.

I skipped this month. I think the cheese knife set is the best gift. Not a fan of the black veil around the hat and I wish they wouldn’t put their brand on EVERYTHING. Even though I’m never super impressed by the gifts, I feel like the box provides a fun experience with the books.
Oh I thought it was fun that they did a more glam sun hat although I'll have fewer occasions to use it. But I do agree that I wish they were subtle with their branding.

I’m intrigued by this book. I saw a live performance of this story on a cruise ship several years ago. Had no idea that there was a book.
