We owned a loaded 02 WS6 automatic. Car wasn't my cup of tea when we bought it but my wife loved it so we ended up with it. I grew to love the car over the years she owned it. The car got attention wherever she went with it. She drove it for ten years and eventually sold it to buy her new Camaro. The car ended up going to a collector but I still kinda miss it.
Absolutely beautiful car. The 01-02 cars did get the LS6 intake, and a small number of LS6 blocks did make it out, but the LS6 camshaft was never in them. In fact, the 01-02 cam is weaker than the 98-00 cam, but the intake and 241 heads made up for it. I think the CE and Firehawk might be a hair more collectable, but there's nothing wrong with a red on black, 6 speed WS6.

Like mentioned above, the hunt. With a car like this it hurts it's value everytime you go out and put miles on it. So he had his fun tracking it down and owning it and most likely ready to move on. He could go out and buy a LS1 for 1/4 the price and beat on it. It would make no sense to go out and abuse this particular car. Like he mentions in the video, there only this nice once.

Yes, time gets freed up to sweep the garage when you have the $ to pay people to cut your grass, clean your house and do all the maintenance and repair on your home.
It was only around 10-15 percent of 2001 and 25 percent of 2002 F-bodies came with an LS6 block. While these numbers haven't been officially confirmed, it has been proven that some did in fact come with it. They did not receive the more aggressive 204/218-degrees duration at 0.050 with 0.551/0.547 lift cam or the higher flowing 243 heads. It was purely a parts supply issue within GM. A few cars also came with LS6 intakes due to the same supply issues.
All 01-02 ls f bodies got the ls6 intake and from what I've read you are on the money on the blocks. They were not better performing In fact the holes put into the main webbing made the ls6 block weaker.
Dennis is a nice guy. You can tell he has a big heart along with a big bank account and not just the latter to just be a show off. His tips to that guy was genuine!

A guy used it for a trade in for a 2017 mustang. I'm now at 62,000.only thing I did was switch out the cats in muffler. You only live once gentlemen. So drive it like there's no tomorrow.✌🏾
Pontiac kind of lost its way after the '70s and never got back to its "Wide Track" roots. It did have some success with the '90s Grand Am and Grand Prix, but they weren't performance cars. To bad the '05 and '06 GTOs were such styling duds. That car could have given Pontiac new life if it were done right.
It wasn't GM's decision. That was a condition the US government added to the bail out in '08. They actually had an exciting trimmed down, performance minded line up planned which involved just the Solstice, G8, and a 2nd generation G6 that was to be RWD.
Jay Leno actually made fun of the graphics on the yellow CETA trans am 😂. Don't mind that at all, I am lucky enough to own a yellow M6 all original down to the tires. Value will only continue to increase.

@@markbaumgartner7261 Thise 90s trans am are cool cars. Don't see many of them left around here.
@@cub1009 , that is true, my friend has a 2002, Yellow Trans Am with WS6. He just got a 2021 Camaro ZL1 car.
My cousin bought an ‘02 Silver WS-6 six speed years ago and shortly after broke his left foot while on patrol (he’s a cop) So guess what? He Couldn’t drive it. But guess who got to for three months? This guy. And I f’ing LOVED that thing.
And I’m not even remotely a GM guy 😂
Dennis Collins of the Class Act I love how he introduces employees yes so much respect for everyone
Dennis. I absolutely love watching you guys ! I love your enthusiasm and love how you treat people. God bless you.
Best show yet! Love watching you all go out and eat & treat the staff so well. Very classy & the car is amazing
So appreciative of the content..Your enthusiasm and attention to detail is inspiring!!! Luv the food reviews as well.. what a great way to give back to that community
Dennis is living the dream, and doing all car guys proud!
True genuineness *** by not disclosing the transaction price. I’ve been watching you for years and I appreciate your humility, it’s inspiring to me. Keep up the outstanding content my good sir..
Those dudes can eat. I woulda been zonked out after the appetizers.
Love seeing these legendary pontiacs in showroom condition. On the other hand I have 00 ws6 with 148 000 miles still running strong 💪.
How about 1996 Pontiac Firehawk? Number 5 of 47? Red on black with 6spd. 13000 original miles!

I have NEVER commented on ANY You Tube video - - - but this one was near perfect. Congratulations on the vehicle and the fun time at the restaurant that you shared - - - glad you tipped the waiter so well, EXCELLENT Thanks for all
As a Brit, while I can respect this car, it will always be the '77 that I fell in love with as a kid.
What We’re Dealing With Here, Is A Complete Lack Of Respect For The Law.
It just doesn't get better than Dennis. The way he rewarded that waiter made me have a completely new and higher respect for this man. Thats what I call giving back. Well Done sir. You my friend are a REAL,.....CLASS ACT.👍🇺🇸👍
Man, Dennis always throws down at the good lunch joints! Made the servers day for sure.
My wifes step dad has a black 02 WS6 6 speed. He is the original owner, the car has never seen rain, and it has less than 15k original miles on it. Not a blemish on on the car.
Don't know what I watch the show for? The cars or the food!! I gotta get to Texas!!
Thank you, great videos!!
You are truly blessed. You love what you do and you do what you love.!!!
Also when running the engines, cycle everything. You engine temps must come up to normal and keep it running to burn off the acids in the oil!
Right On..good info.
The best guy in the business! Even though Dennis is a Jeep/Mopar man, what separates him from other car guys, is his knowledge and love for ALL cars....
Dennis youre a great guy , very generous. This is one of your best videos in my opinion, wow what a car. And the food looked incredible. Keep up the great videos , I'm always looking for the next one. Ps , that video was well worth 35 minutes of my day !! lol
hey mr collins, lots of respect from south africa, i've thought the pontiac was outstanding until i saw how you've treated the waiter. thats really appreciated, stay the good man you are🙏🙏🙏
You guys are a bunch of class A human beings🙏
Dude, I love how excited you get over the best examples of things, whether it's cars, food, when you find the best examples you get pumped!! Good stuff.
Looks like they had a lot of leftovers to bring home
Dennis Collins is just straight up class,he reminds me of Elvis Presley the was he treats people, just like the kid waiter , he gave him a great tip and made people happy ⚡️TCB ⚡️
I love your knowledge and your tipping etiquette
You can always tell how wealthy a person is, by how clean the garage is. Looks like a young guy. Doing very well for himself.
Yes, time gets freed up to sweep the garage when you have the $ to pay people to cut your grass, clean your house and do all the maintenance and repair on your home.
And he points with his pinky too
Harbor Freight tool box 🤔
The most iconic TransAm to me is..................... "THE Bandit" hands down the best.
Always a class act! This world needs a whole hell of alot more people like him...
It was only around 10-15 percent of 2001 and 25 percent of 2002 F-bodies came with
an LS6 block. While these numbers haven't been officially confirmed, it
has been proven that some did in fact come with it. They did not
receive the more aggressive 204/218-degrees duration at 0.050 with
0.551/0.547 lift cam or the higher flowing 243 heads.
214/218 ?
Best thing about this video. is Tipping the waiter more than he's ever gotten. OUTSTANDING.
Food out does the car, now that's truly outstanding on both accounts!
Dennis you’re one cool Dude!! People who treat wait staff well are good people!
Car is not my cup of tea. But I can watch two polite car guys talk history of a car for hours.
Yeah I'm not a fan of these but that has to be one of the only ones left in that condition.
I agree..on all the above...they were neat cars thou...and thou similar were a whole class above an better than the camaros of that era.....
@@camwinston5248 I agree the camaros through these years were really ugly. The firebird outlooks it a lot but still not crazy about the bodystyle.
@@Truckman1980 i concur...and for whatever reason..although they were very similar..platform etc...the pontiacs were just more solid of a car...
@@Truckman1980 you don't know where an old project grade "starliner" is do you ???
Dennis just does it perfectly. By it I mean life. Treating people the way he does... Man, that's so awesome
I remember seeing these back in the day and yea people romped them to death...
Don't know what you got til it's gone.
Remember the "Blackbird" TransAm..?
@@camwinston5248 my friend had a Rustbird
@@lukasgarage956 Ten four..i understand...they just did not treat the undercarriage of those cars..Dennis even makes mention of it in the vid...
@@camwinston5248I was going to mention the blackbird. More desirable than ws6 or Firehawk. I want a phase 3 gmmg Camaro.
That waiter was awesome. Glad you took care of him. He wished you luck on your video showing it was more than just selling you food to him.
I thought Zach's burger looked kinda look small until I saw him take a bite!!!
That thing was huge! And after the appetizers I could finish it lol
Dennis is a nice guy. You can tell he has a big heart along with a big bank account and not just the latter to just be a show off. His tips to that guy was genuine!
I bought my son the same car only with tan leather interior, when he graduating high school and went to collage. It had 23,000 miles then and now it has 36,000.She resides in his garage covered, and used very sparingly.
do you mind me askin what year it was purchased in and price? ive been lookin for a ws6 for almost a decade and the few i find are overpriced for how bad of shape theyre in
@@nocturnalmayhem0 I bought this for my son in 2004, it had 23000 miles and we paid $18,500.
I brought mines in 2017 with 32,000 miles.i felt bad driving it to work every day.and one day I woke up and realized how hard I worked to get it,and it wasn't no way I was going to Preserve it for someone else. Tips mean a lot to a server that is a hard worker. I gave a 100 dollar tip to a server on Christmas Eve and her reaction brought me to tears.
Why GM stopped making Pontiac’s is one of the Dumbest things I ever heard
GM will never be the same, agree!
Because in 2009, they were gross econoboxes (minus G8)
Well, I’m still driving an ‘09 G6 GT with 100,000 miles and totally optioned out, everything. Slapped a Tuner Chip on board and hey-ho off she go. 👍🇨🇦
Dennis. Wow man. You are such a good guy. Your generosity and respect is inspiring. Thank you. We need more people like you.
This week on “Dennis vs food…”
Awesome video
You can tell when somebody has worked hard for there millions. Class act Dennis cheerz.
If people like you and Jay Leno keep making videos like this I'll never sell mine. 4th gen WS6's are only going to get more and more valuable.
What color? Back in the day, my buddy had a yellow one with the 6 speed. But he ragged the crap out of it.
Right!!! Love it

Jay Leno actually made fun of the graphics on the yellow CETA trans am 😂. Don't mind that at all, I am lucky enough to own a yellow M6 all original down to the tires. Value will only continue to increase.
This was a treat. One of my bucket list cars. I always since i was a teen wanted a black Ws6. Awesome cars love the Ram Air Hood. My neighbor has a Copper color ws6
