- With the nineteenth pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Rams selected Jared Verse, edge rusher out of Florida State. Travis psyched himself out and into thinking the Rams are going to want hundred percent guarantee themselves the top 10 pic. When realistically, we just acquired one of the best edge rusher in the draft at 19.

Verse is a top 15 player who the Rams got at 19. Not only did they get value at the pick, but they filled a much-needed spot on the roster! Travis is confusing the Rams aggressiveness moving up and down the draft with recklessness. They make smart, bold moves, not flashy, careless moves, and in this case, drafting Verse was smart. They bolstered the O-line so far this off-season to protect Stafford. Travis talked about giving Stafford more, but don't worry, Stafford will benefit from a good defense that will stop opposing teams from forcing the Rams into a shootout. A well-balanced team is better for everyone, and because the Rams were smart, we are in a better position to have that.

Travis missing the boat again. Verse will help the offense by putting them in better position to score. Defense in Rams history has been a game changer, fearsome foursome, Youngbloods, etc. Let us see where the rest of the draft takes us. Certainly, another defensive player would be great.
Apparently they tried really hard to trade up and they also tried to trade for a second 1st round pick after they picked Verse. A+ for aggressiveness and for getting a great pick even when they couldn’t make moves.

It makes you wonder though ,the NFL is designed for offense now, just look at this draft where what the top 16 picks were all on offense. The rules have been changed to protect wide recievers and qb''s. But they have not had a decent edge rusher the last few years and they need one. I'm not so worried about AD being gone, they need some fresh blood and speed. I just hope he is good

Travis, they have to play defense. I understand wanting Bowers, but it appears the Rams tried to move up to get him or a premier tackle, but there were no takers. Verse is a beast and if he can help stop the other team we get the ball back. We have a good offense, but we have major holes in our defense. Let's see what they do today? I believe they have already greatly improved their secondary and now the overall team defense with an edge. This was a great value pick and a steal at 19. I like this guy better than Latu, who I don't think will have the same success at the next level. The Rams find talent throughout the draft. It will be fine.

During the first 18 picks in the draft, I got a little more excited after every pick that no one had drafted Verse yet. I thought they would trade up a few spots to get him. Then when it got to 19, I just KNEW they would pick him. And then Travis pissed on my parade.
I think we will have stafford until hes 39 or maybe 40. He still has a lot left in the tank.

My rating is an absolute A+ and i think he has the type of tenacity that Lawrence Taylor had. He will lea4n a lot from Byron Young and Michael 25:22 Hoecht and the Chris Shua. At 19, maybe Quinyon Mitchell could have been consider. He was rhe best available player available and has an 8.7 grade. Anytime you can get an 8.7 grade player at pick 19, you count your lucky stars.
I’m sorry I just watch this again for the second time on my drive back home and to hear Travis sound like he’s so disappointed with this pick is baffling this guy‘s film does nothing short of get me charged up for September. How can you look at that film and not get excited?

Craig Osterberg " he is not going to be better than AD" Craig AD was a gift from God.. We will probably never see a player like him on our defense again.
One of their episodes after his retirement announcement was to draft an edge rusher and not to expect another AD in the draft...because there never will be another AD. An edge rusher was their top need, and they got the best one in the draft at a bargain price.

Looks to be super pick. Hopefully they try to move Hoecht to replace Rozeboom. He, although obviously, functional is the weakest of front 7. Putting another good rusher at the inside gives many more Def. options. Hoschton might fit there better as the middle will NOT put him in wr coverage ! AND being ex-DT and 300lbs might be a better run stopper !
AD is a great example of dedication to getting better. He was a 3 star high school prospect.

If Brian Burns is worth a couple of first rounders or a first and a second, then Verse is a steal. I believe within two years he'll be out playing Burns. It's a great pick, especially when you pair him on the d-line with his fellow Seminole
