This is ordinary talk. If future HOF player retires, do people say, "Good luck, don't let the door hit you on the way out."? Of course the natural talk is similar to what is going on now. I'd like to see the team move on and the headlines to be in the here-and-now. When AD (who was an amazing player) says something that implies he's returning, it's newsworthy. Until then, I'd like to hear news about the current team. When he returns, he is on the current team.
As fans we're selfish, we want what we want. I want AD to do whatever is good for him and his family. The Rams are going to be a good team in 24 , we have some quality defenders that WILL step up, let AD do AD
Jared Verse is going to be a 1st team all pro, he came from albany and in 1 season became one of the most touted prospects in collegaite football and another year later hes a 1st round draft pick who stayed another year in college to get a title, which the committee took that chance away from him.. AD and Verse wouldve been one of the best combos in history. Just happy to have had both as a Ram here

Aaron has a personal issue that’s a private matter. That’s a sizable reason why he left. He’s not coming back…OF COURSE the team wants him to come back.
I must be one of the ONLY people that thinks AD is actually done! Like HE said, he trained 365 days a year. He didn't cheat the game or himself and got everything out of himself that he could! When you lose that desire to train, like he said, he wouldn't be the same player anyway and would cheat the game! I think he truly is happy!
Whether AD returns or not, it is only up to him. I guarantee we will accept his return with open arms.

If AD returns I think it will be after training camp. He even said that he hated training camp and 2 of his favorite years was when he held out of camp for contract reasons. Still a very slim chance he returns and It's all up to him.

Extend Staff contract to 4 years, more guaranteed $$ than Goff and top 5 guaranteed $$. That’s what it’s going to take. The more than Goff thing relative to length of contract is real. I am certain of that.

Staff frankly deserves more than Goff for the next 2, 3, and even 4 seasons based on playoff/SB performance and results….and future potential in those areas. JMO. Stafford won’t “honor” the current contract BC the landscape of what the best QBs is ever evolving. He’s top 5. Wants to be paid as such.

I don't think they're going to give Stafford what kind of money he wants. He's on his way out . And the Rams know it . Stetson Bennett is the future of the Rams. They don't want to waste a lot of money on Stafford maybe getting injured again. I like Stafford a lot. But he's on his way out. That's just the way it is. Bennett is the future, and I would bet that he'll take the Rams to a super bowl.

Let me just tell u how stupid I think th nfl contract situation is. These teams sign these players to contracts thinking ok now I can build my roster out. That position is taken care of. These guys are signing 3 year contracts and making the teams renegotiate after 1 year. If someone else at their position gets a new contract now they want a new contract. It's unsustainable and just bad business in my opinion.
I love Aaron Donald but why would you force a renegotiation of your contract, wanting more money, only then to immediately retire afterwards? You just gave us all this dead cap space and hamstrung our roster building for th next 3 years thanks alot. Stafford signed the deal to be here for the next 3 years I think it was. He's getting alot of money to play football, he agreed to it. I'm just tired of these shady tactics and at the same time having to constantly excuse this for great players.

Staffords contract is too favorable to him as it is. No renegotiation.
Stafford and the RAMS come from conflicted viewpoints. Stafford has only a few good years left in him while the RAMS are thinking post Stafford. They are naturally "conflicted".
The RAMS have already tried to get OUT of that big contract AND trade STAFFORD. Both failed and Stafford keeps showing up at the office (aka playing field).
Don't be surprised by the RAMS management at anytime here. They dumped Goff to go forward...they'll dump Stafford at the same pace given any decent opportunity. The RAMS have enough depth to trade off Stafford, they just need a place.
All those close wins in 2023 will be losses in 2024. Aaron please come back, pay him twice what he was making, dont do a Stafford contract until its due, use that money on Aaron
