The Invictus Games were founded by William and Philip. William put £1 million in the pot but I don't know how much Philip contributed financially. Harry was offered the role of patron to give him something to do when he left the Army.
It definitely has become the Meghan Markle fashion show - with clothes and other expenses paid by Invictus out of the charitable funds donated to the cause. In the UK on average only 11.5 % of the funds of a charitable trust are used for admin or expenses, unlike the US where 75% is more the norm. Harry and Meghan are between them bringing UK charitable trusts into disrepute.

H did not create the Invictus Games alone. The Royal Foundation, along with a group of senior royals, established the Invictus Games. Prince William even donated

Curttently, H and MM drain the charity (as well as others) when they make their appearances. The duo's expenses are tremendous, and those funds would be better spent on the Invictus Games's participants and their families.
