    Great game, thanks! Rosenthal would definitely have a better chance if the knight and bishop also protected the king, rather than standing idle on the queenside.

    This wasn't a rapid game by todays standard, it was a form of chess popular back then called "rapid transit", which was 10 seconds per move. Very different from today. I have only played in one rapid transit tourney, and it's a different kind of chess.

      Thank you for pointing this out. 60+ yrs "playing" chess and never heard of this. It's a good day when I learned something new about a game I love dearly and occasionally regret ever hearing about (but only for a minute or two)!
