Why don't you just get a truck camper. Big bed, table to eat an edit, fridge, sink, stove. Put a solar panel on it for electricity. That's what I have an I love it.

@Mav, i have never been fishing in my life. I have been camping & hiking & Boating & all great things outdoor but fishing i have never. Watching your videos brother has inspired me to go ahead & give fishing a try. I actually just bought my first Rod last Wednesday actually because of your videos brother. Ugly Stik GX2 spinning rod is actually the Rod i picked up & Let me tell you this Mav, the comfortably of this Rod in my hands brother is unbelievable Man. As for being raised a bass fisherman, we all had to start someplace. It's good to see he's moved on from "baitfish" to muskies. lol I'm kidding, of course. I was infected with Muskie Fever many years ago.
You must be proud of him. He seems to be doing fairly well in starting a career in the outdoors entertainment business. He's come along ways already.

I've been guiding fly fishing for 8 years. Come out west and I'll put you on a REAL wild Steelhead. Comparing wild western fish that swim across the Pacific before returning to spawn to lake run fish...c'mon! Midwest stockers might be fun, but you gotta get one two-handed on the swing out West to do it right. Keep up the content.

More camping and cooking, the fishing is amazing but the cooking is oddly satisfying to watch. I think its the back ground and your camera skills but all of it collectively is amazing! love that you FEEL GOOD ! lol

The best pine needles for tea are Concolor pine. They smell like oranges and really taste great.
I have that same simms jacket as that green one with the orange hood. One of my favorite and most comfortable jackets. Love it as an insulator and as a travel jacket

Camping is awesome . My dad use to take us camping every summer . We started out with a tent but after one year of our tent leaking after it had rained my mom told my dad to buy a camper and he did . I’ve always loved camping
Fly fishing is just changing up your rig until you get a bite and then you catch so many with the one fly.

Mav. A bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work. Down here is southeast of NM we can’t fish because of Covid 19 even though it’s not busy as of now. I would do almost anything to do some fishing right now. I’ve been trying to find a camper shell for my 2018 tundra crew cab it sucks not being able to find one. Good luck in your quest.

I fish a lake huron trib and this year we had a rather lousy run, but the Atlantic salmon fishery has really taken off and the returns are phenominal and best eating silver fish in the great Lakes. It is a blessing since we dont get kings any more.

I love chinook more I think but steelhead are a very close second. So much fun. Bottom bounced or swung up on a fly rod it’s all such a blast.

Hey Maverick, not sure if you've ever heard of the Root River in Racine WI but it has a phenominal internationally known steelhead hatchery and every fall/spring you see license plates from all over the country parked at the hotel right at the Horlick Dam and this is your best location to catch as many that are allowed and would guaranteed catch your limit every outing! Check it out! Paul from Racine, WI

I remember the first time I went fly fishing. I was with a guide and I was like...”Hey, we get to use bobbers or corks?” He said that is a strike indicator. I knew then I was out of my league. Just wanted to share. Great vid as always.
Av, that Yetti mug that belongs to your friend is just like mine, only, mine is red. Yeti makes a handle for that mug that makes all of the difference in the use of the mug. The handles are $10.00 I believe and it is well worth the price for the connivence. You should get yourself a Yetti Tumble Mug as it keeps your iced drinks cold for over 24 hours.

Try dropping a black stonefly nymph off your bead. In my experience steelhead see a ton of egg patterns during the run. 90 percent of my fish come off a stonefly pattern.

Hey Mav, it's nice to be in those random great moods 😃 also you don't need a bottle opener. If you moved the holding hand up top of the neck and a tight grip on one side of the bottle cap you can easily pry pop it open with a lighter on your thumb side. (You can get some distance so watch your aim lol) just a quick easy tip.

Amazing how you preserved for a steelie. You fish like a PNW hardcore steelhead angler. You need to step into the river, wade, walk, cast, repeat 1000x.I haven't had one to the net yet. I use a spey rod and love to fish the OR and WA rivers for steelhead.
Great videos dude I like fishing I’m actully locates in Lake Erie right now and I fish too I catch a lot of bass and blue gills and sheep head I catch a lot of fish up here where I’m at for all my summer vacations

I’m from soldotna, Alaska. If you’re ever around the Kenai peninsula, try the famous Kenai River. You can get kings, reds, silvers and pinks but pinks are used for cat food very boney

Love your vids. You are in the woods why not campfire cooking (picking up deadwood) instead of messing with propane stove. A handful of pre-cut (meat, veggies, potatoes) meals (measure 12-16oz no waste) in zip lock bags in cooler, or vacuum-sealed bags from freezer thawing in cooler. Cooking in a dutch oven (soups, stews, chili) or foil wraps. Inspiration was taken from Alex Honnold (climber living in a van). Thinking pepper and garlic powder would jazz things up.
