You stumble your way into the lookout and close the door, barely avoiding tripping down the stairs during your trek. Some supplies linger here, but you're so dazed and lightheaded you can barely stand. It's still freezing in here, but if you can get to the furnace and light a fire, you might be safe. hopefully there's enough firewood that you stockpiled. As you stumble past the beds and the table, it feels like someone has tipped your whole world upside down. Your body cranes sideways and you collapse over the small bench onto some hides that cushioned the fall. Recovering, you see the furnace and use your arms to pull, but you can't. You are sapped of every ounce of energy you have. The crushing realization that you might not make it through this sets in, and your eyes slide shut, to the sounds of wind and the tower rocking... Footsteps. Your eyes manage to pull open very slowly. Through a slit of light, you can make out a shadowy figure walking to the furnace, but then they close again. Then sounds. A match being struck..? Firewood pulled from the pile... Glowing, warm colored light... You feel the sensation of moving. Your legs slide across the floor, and you are propped up to the right of the stove, on the wall. A heavy fabric covers your body. Warmth seeps into your core from the fire and the covering, dispelling the cold. More footsteps, now going away. Your eyes manage to open one more time. The figure is near the door, and it turns to you. Wearing some sort of rimmed hat, the figure tips it, and exits.
@@thelongdarkambience I enjoy adding some sort of story to everything! Your videos are pretty amazing and charming, so it's really the least I could do!
Yep, same here. The location is a little inconvenient, but I like being able to watch the scenery outside while I'm roasting a nice piece of venison on the stove ☺
Oh yeah I love the Metro games. They're among my favorites, along with Subnautica, the BioShock series and Alien Isolation when it comes to perfect immersion and atmosphere.
You are at the mystery lake lookout. Beautiful view but compared to the visitor center very difficult to live in. In the visitor center I don't need a fire to sleep if I'm dressed with dry clothes
Ah shit. Should've made a beeline for the Dam... Worst possible time for a blizzard, all of my gear is in the travois. Thank god I found that windbreaker, I'd have been toast without it. Might as well catch some reading up here before I fall asleep. >Read for 1/5 Hours
@@thelongdarkambience Thanks! I love that place, it feels so cozy and safe especially during dark nights with the priest around and other survivors and a fireplace... perfect
I do yeah! I play on a PS5 and I also have a modded version on PC, so I do have a handful of sandboxes with various difficulty settings, but I'm always playing an actual survival run.
Absolutely the best place for atmospheric ambience during a blizzard. I brought almost everything from other regions into the hideout. My Hideout (version 1.99 +78 Mods): ruclips.net/video/l2iWJNGpBeE/видео.html&t

The perfect thing to listen to while I eat a dusty can of dog food…
I think I'd prefer a nice, dusty can of peaches 😅
@thelongdarkambience No dog food 😠
Dusty? Well look at you all fancy and shit. I have to settle for mouldy cans of dog food.
Just like mama used to make

This game is so amazing at creating that feeling of being comfy and warm while the world outside freezes over.
It's one of the biggest reasons why I love it so much and have played it almost non-stop for 3 years now ☺
Thank you for this. I love this game and you for making this.
Thanks! It's a great game with beautiful scenery and I'm happy to record some cozy videos for people ❄️
There's a new blizzard in the new dlc Forsaken Airfield. Sounds good from inside that depot. 😉
It's weird, but I like that the shelves are full.
I always go kinda out of my way to make the forestry lookout tower as my residence in Mystery Lake, not the trapper's or camp office.

this is what i was looking for, thank you very much
No problem! 👍
I never knew this was around and love it!! Thank you and this made me sleep perfectly.✌👊🙏
You're most welcome! Very happy hear about the good sleep 👍
I love this tower, thanks for the video🙂
You're welcome ☺

Beautiful view but compared to the visitor center very difficult to live in.
In the visitor center I don't need a fire to sleep if I'm dressed with dry clothes
True! I usually make my main base in the visitor center and a secondary mini base in the tower because I dig the view.
This one‘s perfect 👍❤️
Thank you ☺This is one of my favorite locations in the game. Always love to stay up there and watch sunsets and sunrises through the windows.
Harika bir içerik. Uyurken hep dinliyorum❤
Happy to hear that ☺
Love the video but... Why is the storm blowing STRAIGHT THROUGH the building? Cold!!!
Yeah I always notice that 🥶Heh, my guess would be poor insulation.
Great job!
will...good luck!!
This is the perfect atmosphere to sleep🌊+sub

The climb up to the tower is annoying, but I think the view is worth it every time 🤩
Nice artwork.
Amazing
Thank you, glad to hear you like it ☺
Fantástico, gracias
Could you make a no-music ambience inside the Community Hall from an angle that also includes the fireplace please?
