Not only did he lie while in office he's currently charged with felonies while in office and is on trial right now for an election interference conspiracy that started before the election and went into his term as President that gave him an unfair advantage in the election and arguably would have prevented him from being elected at all. I read about the wife (Vietnamese woman) of a man running for an office, who committed MANY counts of election fraud for her husband by going to the Vietnamese community and "helping" them fill out their ballots by "translating" for them and told them many lies about the process. They charged her with 52 ? counts - she was found guilty. It carried 5 years for each count (adding up to 200+ years). What did she get? 8 months; 3-4 months served in jail, and the rest on house arrest; her husband ended up resigning from the position although NOT as a member of the board (it was some "city council" type position of some sort).

      I would say that capitalism works beautifully as long as everybody remembers that we all are in the same boat together-if it takes on water we all will sink. It’s corporate capitalism that is killing society in this case. Corporations exist to prey off of the public now when once they were a positive force for spreading the wealth around.

    • @gabrielfair724
      @gabrielfair724 Месяц назад +2

      If the market was as truly free as it could be you'd get things back like child labour, slavery/indentured servitude, company town/ company dollars instead of real currency, increased environmental damage, no useable roads except nearest to the biggest of companies, and emergency services would cost enough to bankrupt 99% of people (but that's already like that in the states where insurance rules by force).
      The free market needs regulation because markets are never actually free nor fair, they'll always be able to be ruled by who has most command and control right from the start. I'd argue how dumb a person is depends on how little regulation they think it really does need in order to be as fair as possible.

    Back when Rudi Giuliani was running the show in NY city, part of his success was from his policy of "community policing". That if you took care of the annoying petty crime stuff, the bigger things will occur less. That there was a malaise and permissiveness and corruption that set in, if you didn't take care of the "little things". Like allowing the house on the corner be a crack den. It drove down the rest of a neighborhood. So arrest the guy pissing on the side of the little ladies house when she calls. See a kid break a window? Bother to go get the kid and talk to his parents. By doing that, you send a message that lawlessness isn't in vogue anymore.
    So the last election cycles, when the voting irregularities that have always been a issue that never are publicly chased down and very publicly dealt with, with people actually arrested instead of ignoring it. By addressing the political corruption, regardless of party in power, doing so sends a message that its not going to be tolerated. Given the last election and the rampant irregularities STILL not fixed or people being convicted in a very public and transparent way. It leads to a arrogance a malaise, a feeling of status quo that leads marginally corrupt people to feel emboldened to being even more audacious. THAT'S why there is this sharp increase in fake votes and signatures, "We got away with it last time, what the heck, lets do more!"

      Circular reasoning fallacy in a nutshell
      Circular reasoning, also known as begging the question, is a logical fallacy in which the conclusion of an argument is assumed in one of the premises. In a nutshell, it’s when you use the thing you’re trying to prove as part of your argument. It’s a faulty form of reasoning because it doesn’t provide any new or valid evidence to support your claim; instead, it just restates the same idea differently. This makes circular reasoning a fallacious and unconvincing form of argumentation.

      LMFAO. 🤤 First, maybe that’s how the governor had as close of an election as she had. She should’ve won by 60%, but the insane woman on the other side is the one that used fraud to get as close as she did. Yeah I guess because something is bouncing around in your head as something you already believe, then whatever you hear you automatically count it as proof to what you already believed in the first place. You don’t see a little bitty problem with that? smh
      And second, it’s obvious you have limited “capacity“, I will phrase it that way to be polite, because there’s a huge difference between faking signatures while sitting at someone’s kitchen table and being able to fakethousand signatures and actually hiring thousand people to go out and get mail out of peoples mailbox or go to their local facilities to act like there’s someone else to cast their vote. And these type of accusations have been around when everybody was voting in person, because the truth is this is more about dividing people and causing them to be angry because you want them to get out an even larger numbers than it is about telling the truth.

We also need to have double the number of poll watchers, and no after hours ballot deliveries, or counting unless supervised by both parties.... I see advertisements for polling help... I just hope they are all citizens of this country.. and not just green card holders... any one near our elections should be citizens of the USA.

    It's clear that the first guy personally forged signatures, but did all of them? Often politicians or initiative supporters pay companies to circulate petitions etc. to get signatures, and the people who collect them are paid per signature. That can lead to abuses, but the fraud is a financial one by the signature collecting companies, not a political crime by the person who is running or trying to get an initiative passed.
