The mother was trying to give her hints to bring it down because I notice she sings much better down in the valley (alto range)instead of all the way in the hills(soprano range). But it's only a learning experience.
The mother needs to just step back and let the child sing. She may do better if the mother would have rehearsal at home show her child some trust. I'm sure the child is embarrass from the humiliation in front of all the people. This would make anyone sing off key and all the rest that goes along with bad singing. Lord please intervene with that controlling mother.
Her mother normally does that part and Chrystal was trying to do it the way her mother did but she doesn’t have the range and endurance that her mom does so she was simply encouraging her daughter to be herself instead of trying to be like mommy
