Yeah she’s trying to ruin the alcohol industry by making bad drinks, but was blessed/cursed by a fairy so that all her disgusting drinks magically turn out delicious.
Furina's demo is showing everyone acting the opposite of their usual character. Childe is running from a fight and the melusines (the NPCs) are looking badass, Neuvilette has apparently broken the law and Navia (who's group has a mafia aesthetic) is arresting him, Lynette is being the presenter while Lyney acts as the assistant, Freminet has his diving helmet stuck and it is apparently full of water (making him drown on land), Chlorinde is having a fight with Wriothesely (they're tea-time buddies). The big fight at the end has pretty much the entire cast using stage fighting methods that don't actually connect... look close and you can also see Navia and Chlorinde actually miss their cue and they end up just standing around, arguing.
With enough effort you can see Navia and Chlorinde doing the "fake slap with one hand high while using your other hand low to make the noise" shtick for female background characters to do during a brawl scene. For all the combat in this trailer, they mix in moves that specifically come from theatrical stage combat of the kind trained actors do. (Yes, even Childe's jump is perfectly safe if you're cooperating with the person on the ground.) Furina's "sword skills" aside none of these moves are used in the game itself, so they motion captured them specifically to use here.
A lot of people actually like their colors being different from their visions. It's fun if I can't guess their visions through their clothes or hair color.
Fun fact: Qiqi was designed or was actually a jiāngshī in the Chinese version of the game which is known as the Chinese hopping vampire. It was localised to English for her to be a zombie since people would always associate vampires with drinking blood and Qiqi doesn't do that so they took the reanimated corpse part that gets rigor mortis and labelled her to be a zombie.
Chinese Hopping Zombie is as good description of Jiangshi as Chinese Hopping Vampire. Because Jiangshi are neither really. PS. And Qiqi is less Jiangshi-Jiangshi and more "general talisman-resurrected undead"-Jiangshi anyway. So zombie is more appropriate.
In Mika's case, it's actually that both parents seem to be absent. His older brother Huffman (hot knight npc) needs to take care of him, but he struggles with that responsibility.

My element theory is: -Pyro is the people who has the drive and burning passion to their occupation. Diluc as batman, klee with her bomb experiment, Bennett as an adventurer, Xinyan as a rock musician, etc. -Anemo are people who gets sweep by the flow of the wind. People who knows there is no freedom without responsibility. Jean being a knight, wanderer being a wanderer, xiao as someone who fights to protect etc. -Electro are those who serves as a pillar in a organization. Those with position that are shockingly important. They hold authority but not the highest responsibility. Kuki being the babysitter of the gang, Keqing being one of the vice leader, Raiden Ei's whole backstory, Fischl being a princess in her own world not a queen, Liza being Jean's support system, etc. -Hydro are like what you said, people whose lives has a different reflection in the water. Xingqiu scretly being a writer, Kokomi being a war strategist, childe being a fatui harbinger, etc -Cyro are people are people who has a position or cold situation that hinders them from being who they really are. Resulting to them not being able to express their real self or desire. Shenhe's abnormal power, Ayaka being the princess of their clan, Eula coming from a fallen ancestry, Diona being a barista even tho she hates wine, etc -Geo are those who acts as the main pillar of a organization. Speaking of your mention of an “underwater civilization”, I have to inform you that the one in Fontaine is a fair distance from and very different from the one Kokomi is descended from. Watatsumi Island’s people come from an underground region in the past. Enkanomiya (you’ll have to look up the pronunciation) comes from an older civilization pre-Archon War, and its inhabitants were rescued from the Dragonheir of the Depths by Orobaxi, a serpentine god who lost in the Archon War and was forced to go into hiding. Check with Arnold’s lore analysis for more details! 😁

the original reason a lot of people (atleast in online spaces) "hated" Dori when she came out is because her design and whole motif felt very orientalist, just a mishmash of a bunch of middle eastern cultures into a stereotype. This was when the sumeru characters were first rolling out, there was a lot of discourse and general disappointment in them not representing the cultural inspirations as well as they did with liyue and inazuma. Nowadays though people just find her annoying and hate her for the memes i think lol
I've thought a lot about this stuff about visions too. From what I could gather, there's no universal criteria for each element. Like.. no criteria I picked would fit evert character for each element, but some fit more characters than others. Here's my best guess so far. Fair warning, there are characters that don't fit. - Pyro: joyful, optimistic characters that are driven by their emotions - Hydro: analytical and/or creative individuals who think outside the box - Geo: people who have a deep self-knowledge and are dead set in their goals - Electro: the protectors, the guards, the followers of rules - Dendro: people whose goals are connected to self fulfillment or those who are still trying to figure out who they are - Cryo: individuals who tend to work toward the good of a group of people - Anemo: introverted or antisocial people or those who struggle to connect with others. Again, there are exceptions!!
My "why that element" theory is that they exemplify whatever trait is counter to the current archon's fatal flaw. For example, Venti is known for being lazy. He sleeps for years at a time and when he _does_ wake up, he prefers to find ways to get others to be in position to save the day for him. In contrast, every Anemo character is marked by their perseverance. They never stop trying, no matter how much they would suffer for continuing or how many tines theyve been set back. Even Sayu, the laziest Anemo character, is known for her tenacity at trying to escape the priestesses making her do her chores and training, all the while she keeps doing anything she can to try and induce a growth spurt (that's also why she sleeps so much). Zhongli has been working for a long time, but wants to retire and frequently reminisces about the past. Geo characters, however, all focus on the now and the tomorrow. They very explicitly are not paying attention to "the memories" and either live for the day or are making plans for their future. Ei has similarly gotten stuck, but in her case she is trying to keep things the same instead of longing for a past. Electro characters are all about innovation, wanting to either create new things or try to combine seemingly opposed concepts. Etc.
Huh, this is one of the best theories I've heard regarding vision element. But that said, the "etc." is doing a lot of heavy lifting. What do you think Dendro is about?

The "lowest rung" of the dendro characters are a mail delivery person that people trust their extremely valuable goods with and a trainee forest ranger who's seen as a guardian and guide by strangers in need
The version trailers are hype, but if you plan to play the game and catch up, I would recommend only watching them as you progress through the story since they spoil a bit.
It may help to know that, a Samsara, like many terms and concepts in Genshin and Honkai, is a term from Buddhism and Hinduism, Samsara refers to the endless cycle of existence and reincarnation.

There are a lot of vision element character theories, half the fun is trying to find and connect the patterns. They usually involve a layer of personality traits but also their motivations. The two I find most consistent are the theme of loss/death for anemo and parental/father figure inheritance with Pyro.
Is Klee Red Riding Hood? No, she's second edition of Alice (In The Wonderland). But also kinda yes as one of three humans who are friends with Razor pre-canon.
The unusually High temperature that Shenhe mentioned in her trailer is because Chongyun was born with a pure Yang spirit (I think it was Yang) and because of that evil spirits flee as soon as he gets near the other side effect is that it makes him "run" hotter than the average person so he pretty much has to cool himself down often or risk overheating which is why he mentioned a popsicle
For dendro, I do notice most users are all very compassionate and emphatetic people get dendro visions. Which is interesting cuz the dendro region is the city of wisdom and knowledge.
I think the weird cosmic angel enemies and similar modern mid-apocalypse setting, and already being told across multiple universes make Honkai and Evangelion an excellent choice their crossover, but Horizon Zero Dawn is firmly sci-fi, so you’re super right this is slightly more of a stretch to put in Genshin

there's alot of theories about vision elements but so far this one has the strongest hold according to lore and how the characters got their vison, so we could take a hint on how visions might distributed, also this ties to the element's respective archon's ideals: Anemo = Freedom Geo = Strong will/ Resolution/Steadfastness/ Loyalty Electro = (debatable but it has something to do between Transcience and/or Perpetuality) Dendro = Growth ( wisdom, seeking wisdom/ knowledge is one of it's best example) Hydro = Fluidity (as one of enemy's say '" the abilty of water is to take many forms")/ Own sense of Justice/ Virtue Pyro= Strong Passion Cryo = Contradiction
Electro feels more like "unbending will" people with electro stand strong in their own sense of righteousness. Like it's not the same with Hydro Visions bearers, but I mean electro users are stand-alones. They do what *THEY* think is right Fislch, Kujou Sara, Razor, Lisa, Kuki, Yae, Cyno, Keqing, Dori, Beido and perhaps Clorinde too, they all share similar traits and that is they never falter no matter what is thrown on their way and stay steadfast just like Geo, but it's not limited to just one important goal, rather they face each of their goal with unbending will. Though that's just my opinion lol

For me electron is obsession
there's alot of theories about vision elements but so far this one has the strongest hold according to lore and how the characters got their vison, so we could take a hint on how visions might distributed, also this ties to the element's respective archon's ideals:
Anemo = Freedom
Geo = Strong will/ Resolution/Steadfastness/ Loyalty
Electro = (debatable but it has something to do between Transcience and/or Perpetuality)
Dendro = Growth ( wisdom, seeking wisdom/ knowledge is one of it's best example)
Hydro = Fluidity (as one of enemy's say '" the abilty of water is to take many forms")/ Own sense of Justice/ Virtue
Pyro= Strong Passion
Cryo = Contradiction
Electro feels more like "unbending will" people with electro stand strong in their own sense of righteousness. Like it's not the same with Hydro Visions bearers, but I mean electro users are stand-alones. They do what *THEY* think is right
Fislch, Kujou Sara, Razor, Lisa, Kuki, Yae, Cyno, Keqing, Dori, Beido and perhaps Clorinde too, they all share similar traits and that is they never falter no matter what is thrown on their way and stay steadfast just like Geo, but it's not limited to just one important goal, rather they face each of their goal with unbending will.
Though that's just my opinion lol
