Baby bear, you've met every goal you've set out for yourself...from leaving home to fly across the country to go to university and finish your degree in TO, get your business more established with an office and warehouse and getting your own place. I've no doubt you will also go to Grad school to do your Econ in due time. Give yourself some grace, scale back what you need so that you have less time required for designing and more time grad schooling. It's all part of your character - checking off those life goals one at a time but check them off you will! Of that I have NO doubt. Love you mostest!
I did poorly in econ in college, then ended up running my own business for 15 years, fast forward to life after 50--I became an equities trader, and I wish I would've done better in econ and had more of it!! You never know where life will take you, and in my opinion, no amount of education/knowledge ever goes to waste. Cheers Helen!!

Entry level $50.00 basic functional stickers, Mid Level $150 functional stickers, 3 vinyls, The Big Box $250+ functional stickers, vinyls to decorate your covers, and the monthly page decoration kit (just examples) - I would buy it and I am sure others would too! You see how many times I have gone to your website to order! Everytime I watch a video, I go back to the site to order what you are using :)
I agree. I think some sampler kits to take away decision fatigue may help offset some lost revenue from subscriptions if you phase those out. When I was ordering, I was so overwhelmed by the number of options that it took me a few times going back to the website before I ordered.

I too get vivid dreams often! And it’s like my brain is still working even though I’m sleeping. Like I’m awake even though I’m sleeping, and I always end up feeling so tired when I wake up. But once in a while the dreams are funny and interesting and If I wake up in the middle I want to go back and see what was about to happen next 😂 Me and my roommate also did hotpot at home for Christmas 🎉 Thank you for this video and all the content throughout the year! Go for grad school! If it's something you've always seen for yourself, then it's something you should pursue! (I started my PhD in part to honour my younger self's aspirations. So glad I've kept with it.)
I think grad school to expand your mind is humble, admirable, and straight up amazing! Once upon a time - and not THAT long ago!! - university had nothing to do with careers and making money and all that stuff that we hear so much about now. University was about personal enlightment and enrichment, to be a better citizen. Will your degree(s) help improve many aspects of life? Yeah, sure. But most importantly, degrees give and their pursuit can bring happiness and pride in knowing you have done something to better yourself, to impact how you analyze, how you solve problems, and constant learning helps you see how seemingly unconnected things actually ARE connected! Okay, sorry, I was nerding out there for a moment, all to say, amazing about school. Don't stress about timing (I have nearly ten years between my under grad and grad degrees, gah!), when you are ready, you will know. Hi Helen - I don’t often comment but I watch all of your content and support your shop. I’m so impressed at all you’ve accomplished so far in life. I often have to remind myself that you started this business at 16 I believe. I absolutely believe you should partake in whatever brings you joy even if that means less designing and fewer or no new releases. Your health and happiness should always be your main focus. I personally will continue to purchase stickers from you even if you don’t release anything new. I have my favorites that I come back for time and time again. And if you ever decide to move on and do something different I would support that also in whatever way possible even if that only means watching videos. As a person in her mid 50’s I just want to remind you that time doesn’t slow down for anyone. Create the life you want to live, that inspires and motivates you and that you can look back on with a full heart.

As a small business owner I completely understand your decision to stop/change the subscription model. 2025 will be the first year I don't run a monthly club (subscription/preorder) in my business in 6 years I think. I'm so over always having pre-orders constantly due and not enough time/energy for spontaneous product development. Also my shrink told me I'm probably having a severe stress reaction (my anxiety has been nearly unmanageable this past year) so it's time to take it down a notch. o_o I don't say all this to trauma dump, just to say that it's completely understandable and your schedule does worry me, just looking in from the outside. 💜 I know it's none of my business and you didn't ask for opinions so I hope you know it comes from a place of compassion and not judgement. I totally understand being wrapped up in your work and wanting to do all the things and exploding with ideas. 😍 I'm happy you're taking steps to make a more sustainable work schedule for yourself. Hi Helen, your fan-neighbor here in Surrey🙂. I took my MBA last 2017 for professional advancement basically. It was pretty daunting as to which MBA programs as there are tons. I took the route of taking it in UK at Uni of Bradford rather than SFU or UBC just because the concentration was geared towards my focus which is Circular Economy. UK MBA is tough as you need to write papers to all courses. I initially got concerned with Economics but it ended out my highest scores and is applicable to other related subjects like Strategic Management and Finance. For selecting the programs, you might want to look at the learning approaches too. SFU and UBC are more collaborative, working with co-horts giving you an opportunity to form professional networks. I did distance learning for flexibility but it can be isolating too. So I highly recommend that to focus on your situation and select the ones fitted to your criteria. Just my two cents. 🙂

She writes beautifully but I feel it is very accessible and relatable and she brings me so much joy. I'd also recommend the audio book "Wild and Precious" narrated by Sophia Bush that talks about Mary's life and includes her reading her poems. :D have a great day!

Economics is interesting. (Says the person who only took one intro class that was required) I was going to write something inspiring here, but my brain isn't working today. 😅 You can do it!!! 🎉 I really believe you can. Look back at all you have accomplished. Grad school is a cakewalk compared to running a business when you were 15-16. You are a strong, beautiful, creative woman. I believe in you! I just wanted to chip in a bit on grad school! I’m currently wrapping up my PhD and I have two masters degrees. The biggest thing about grad school, in my opinion, is learning how to learn. You learn how to research and define projects and persist. I basically think that it lets you skip some of the proving yourself at jobs, but by no means all or even most of it. I also want to say that it’s very stressful. I couldn’t be happier with where I’ve ended up, but I would also never recommend it to anybody. I believe that I could’ve gotten every opportunity that grad school opened up for me in another way, it would’ve been harder though. My biggest piece of advice is to make sure your advisor is incredible. You need your academic advisor to be a freaking rockstar or things will be much more difficult. If you are very seriously considering grad school, reach out to the program counselor and ask them if there’s a prospective students day so you can talk to some of the staff and learn about the vibe. Also talk to current students. Best of luck!

Happy New Year's Im not at all surprised you're considering Econ for your masters given the courses you enjoyed in undergrad. Definitely go for it on your time. Continue to make the moves you need for you in 2025. Congratulations on your new place. For folks that dream, let alone have vidid dreams, I'm jealous. My insomnia rarely allows me to sleep more than 3 hours at a time, so dreams are few and far. Now poetry is not my jam so much so that i emailed every English instructor to fin d out if their course included any poetry so i could avoid them as an adult learn. I know my limits and what frustates me.... lol😂😂😂😂

I went to grad school a few years after my BS, finished an MBA. It’s always a toss up running my small business… does the MBA help or does my hard work help???? Either way, I don’t regret, and since my doctorate got pushed off, it was a good compromise. Just sharing my experience, in case it might help. Thanks always for an amazing video. Keeping fingers crossed I can get the subscription this year, but totally supportive of your ‘26 plan, especially if you get back to grad school. Cheers! 🎉

A sampling is on RUclips but it is really over on Patreon. I see nothing wrong with going to grad school for economics! I sometimes think a degree in divinity would be interesting
Put a dab of rubbing alcohol on a square of tp or side of kleenex etc, hold in place few seconds, wipe away. Voila! Most, if not all, of the fountain pen ink will be gone :D
My two cents on more degrees. What are you planning to do with it? Are you going to step away from TCMC to pursue a career in that field? Or is it just so you can say you have it? In most cases I’d advise not to take on the extra debt/stress if it’s not going to help you in the long run. In your case, I don’t think money is a limiting factor. So you just have to decide if you’re willing to spend that energy and take on that stress. This comes from someone with four university degrees, but not running my own business.
@ then, if you think you have capacity now, do it. If not, wait until you do. The education will always be there and if it’s just for fun maybe do it part time.

`i really love you video's and also your shop. You need to chase what you think will give you the most out of your life. BUt I want to ask a question which I notice when I watch these. How much time do you sleep every night? I ask as I am some one who needs to sleeep around 8 to 9 hours per night, otherwise I start to feel like I have jet lag. But as I am a health professional I know this is not the same for every one. I am just interested.
I will buy whatever sub is available 🤷♀ I will be happy with what is on offer 💯 I often have to explain my study path to people who I think generally think all study is vocation oriented. I did a Bachelor of Arts which qualified me to be specifically nothing 😂 even though I majored in psychology people who haven't studied didn't understand why I didn't have a profession. And I was always perfectly fine to go on and study more to have a profession. Learning itself is enjoyable to me. The pursuit of knowledge and study is very valuable to me even when people in my life don't understand that it's not all vocation oriented.
I studied Economics in undergrad, and even though I love it I won’t study it for a masters program. I decided on a public admin graduate program instead. I haven’t started yet but I already picked out my program and started the application process. I’m thinking a fall 2025 start date.

We are opposite ages and opposite races and have opposite lives (I’m using opposite to simply mean we have nothing in common in those areas). What we do have in common is overworking. 2025 will be my year of knowing when enough is enough. Bc just like for you there will always be another idea another design etc for me there will always be another email another student concern etc. Health is paramount as you already know. Hi Helen, your fan-neighbor here in Surrey🙂. I took my MBA last 2017 for professional advancement basically. It was pretty daunting as to which MBA programs as there are tons. I took the route of taking it in UK at Uni of Bradford rather than SFU or UBC just because the concentration was geared towards my focus which is Circular Economy. UK MBA is tough as you need to write papers to all courses. I initially got concerned with Economics but it ended out my highest scores and is applicable to other related subjects like Strategic Management and Finance. For selecting the programs, you might want to look at the learning approaches too. SFU and UBC are more collaborative, working with co-horts giving you an opportunity to form professional networks. I did distance learning for flexibility but it can be isolating too. So I highly recommend that to focus on your situation and select the ones fitted to your criteria. Just my two cents. 🙂

She writes beautifully but I feel it is very accessible and relatable and she brings me so much joy. I'd also recommend the audio book "Wild and Precious" narrated by Sophia Bush that talks about Mary's life and includes her reading her poems. :D have a great day!

I just wanted to chip in a bit on grad school! I’m currently wrapping up my PhD and I have two masters degrees. The biggest thing about grad school, in my opinion, is learning how to learn. You learn how to research and define projects and persist. I basically think that it lets you skip some of the proving yourself at jobs, but by no means all or even most of it. I also want to say that it’s very stressful. I couldn’t be happier with where I’ve ended up, but I would also never recommend it to anybody. I believe that I could’ve gotten every opportunity that grad school opened up for me in another way, it would’ve been harder though. My biggest piece of advice is to make sure your advisor is incredible. You need your academic advisor to be a freaking rockstar or things will be much more difficult. If you are very seriously considering grad school, reach out to the program counselor and ask them if there’s a prospective students day so you can talk to some of the staff and learn about the vibe. Also talk to current students. Best of luck!

Now poetry is not my jam so much so that i emailed every English instructor to fin d out if their course included any poetry so i could avoid them as an adult learn. I know my limits and what frustates me.... lol😂😂😂😂

I went to grad school a few years after my BS, finished an MBA. It’s always a toss up running my small business… does the MBA help or does my hard work help???? Either way, I don’t regret, and since my doctorate got pushed off, it was a good compromise. Just sharing my experience, in case it might help. Thanks always for an amazing video. Keeping fingers crossed I can get the subscription this year, but totally supportive of your ‘26 plan, especially if you get back to grad school. Cheers! 🎉

Put a dab of rubbing alcohol on a square of tp or side of kleenex etc, hold in place few seconds, wipe away. Voila! Most, if not all, of the fountain pen ink will be gone :D

My two cents on more degrees. What are you planning to do with it? Are you going to step away from TCMC to pursue a career in that field? Or is it just so you can say you have it? In most cases I’d advise not to take on the extra debt/stress if it’s not going to help you in the long run. In your case, I don’t think money is a limiting factor. So you just have to decide if you’re willing to spend that energy and take on that stress.
This comes from someone with four university degrees, but not running my own business.
Ahh I mostly just want to pursue it for knowledge! I have no practical use for an Economics degree--I just love Economics 😅
@ then, if you think you have capacity now, do it. If not, wait until you do. The education will always be there and if it’s just for fun maybe do it part time.

How much time do you sleep every night? I ask as I am some one who needs to sleeep around 8 to 9 hours per night, otherwise I start to feel like I have jet lag. But as I am a health professional I know this is not the same for every one. I am just interested.

I did a Bachelor of Arts which qualified me to be specifically nothing 😂 even though I majored in psychology people who haven't studied didn't understand why I didn't have a profession. And I was always perfectly fine to go on and study more to have a profession. Learning itself is enjoyable to me. The pursuit of knowledge and study is very valuable to me even when people in my life don't understand that it's not all vocation oriented.

Anyway, I teach in higher Helen. We are opposite ages and opposite races and have opposite lives (I’m using opposite to simply mean we have nothing in common in those areas). What we do have in common is overworking. 2025 will be my year of knowing when enough is enough. Bc just like for you there will always be another idea another design etc for me there will always be another email another student concern etc. Health is paramount as you already know. Get well in 2025…for future you🙏🏾🫶🏾
