    Hello from New Zealand. Thank you so much for your videos, so interesting, clear and well put together. We don't have bears or cougar, etc in NZ. You are brave just to go out and put the cameras up along the trails... Keep making these, many thanks. Clara

    • @discojelly
      @discojelly 6 лет назад

      Though the smaller black bears and cougars are indeed dangerous.. They try to avoid humans at all cost. It is advised to hike with other person when in bear and cougar habitat...and do bring Bear Spray or a firearm. Bear spray will also work good on cougars. Stay sharp and make noise as you walk will help limit an encounter with such an animal.

    I love owl calls. I miss the years of living out in the country when my husband was alive and we would hear them calling to each other One night after he past away I heard 2 in the trailer Park where we lived at I thought maybe my husband sent them to me one last time so I could hear them. Now I am living in the city not by choice and I feel like a person in a prison away from wild life sounds so these videos sure help me .

    Some of those bears got tired of getting smacked in the nuts, and started going under the branch. Barred owls are great until one builds a nest 50 feet from your bedroom window, and decides to chat with the owl across the street all day while you sleep.

Some of those days get as high as 108 degrees F in the heat of the day when the bear or panthers cross by ... it is amazing how intense. How do U stand such circumstances when collecting the camera or putting it out on the trail? I mean mosquitos, swamp, wild animals and such ... are U a adrenaline junkie? Or just don't think about it? I thank you for the sheer dedication and effort U have made to make these videos, really. Cudos to U for sure. It is very exciting to see wild animals in their natural habitat. U are a fearless adventure I think with a tough skin to endure such hardships. I think about how U risk Ur life. It is incredible.

      @George Rusch I'm sure you realize that C14 dating is not used, nor applicable for paleontological timescales. C14 is really only applicable to archeological timescales. For deeper time, such as for non-bird dinosaurs, K-Ar would be more appropriate. Anyone who suggests to you that C14 radiometric dating can be used for such massive timescales is deliberately pulling the wool over your eyes. It would be like measuring the passing of a century with a stopwatch.
