I use those tuners on just about all my guitars and absolutely love them! Not to mention I've got a Gibson Les Paul Classic LE from 2015 that cane with the G force tuners and I swapped them out for the Hipshot tuners with the ump plate and love them!
Ha, I'm glad that I checked replies! I saw you've used Gover. The video kind of sounded like Gibson's was your 1st experience and then you had only tried Hipshot, after. Which would be just great for a recommendation but I was going to ask about naming the video "the best" if it was all you had used, lol. But thanks for the video and link!
It's not so much that locking tuners are more stable, it's more that you do not need multiple wraps. That improves tuning stability. So yes, locking tuners improve tuning stability AND make changing strings easier and faster.
I have Grover Rotomatic self lockers on my Les Paul Studio. Very easy to use, great stability, however, nowadays they're a little dear for my budget. The more conventional lockers are more than adequate. For cheaper guitars, I've found Wilkinson a good upgrade over the unbranded things you get on these guitars. A reliable upgrade.

I bought an '83 Gibson Challenger off of eBay that has those tuners. They're great. The 2015 Gibson's are an excellent value, IMO.
Graph Tech Ratio locking tuners also come with universal mounting plates. I like the Graph Techs the best, but they are quite a bit more expensive.
