Lovely shots! We got a group of them regularly visiting our bird bath, too. We often see three of them at the same time. ❤️ The hierarchy in our garden bird bath seems to be: 1. Magpies 2. Pied butcher birds 3. Bluefaced honeyeaters 4. Noisy miners Although 3 and 4 often share together. We have a large tree next to the bath, so sometimes all the birds share the tree and simply wait for the higher-ups to be done, and then the next one in line flies in. It keeps me engaged for quite a while, just watching them. ❤️ We do sometimes have Rainbow Lorikeets take a swim, but I don't spot them in there often. I've never seen the Pied Currawongs in there, and I'm still not sure who our nightly visitors in the bath are.
Hey there, thanks a lot for sharing that. That’s so awesome! I love observing our beautiful Aussie birds in the backyard too. Hope your’re having a lovely weekend!
Quite a widespread habitat from very warm to quite cool. I have a bird bath as well and always enjoy watching birds take a bath they appear to be really enjoying themselves 😀
Thanks Chris for watching. Wish it had become a frequent visitor but unfortunately haven’t seen this species for a few months. Hope you’re having a relaxing weekend!:)
Great job on the video Peter. I love these guys, they come into my bird garden from time to time. Love their colours. Thanks for sharing the video mate 👍🙏
That’s so cool mate! I had never seen them before and only spotted this one a few times, kept coming back for a few days back in November but nothing since. Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend Adrian!😉
G'Day Peter. Blue Faced Honeyeaters are very common in my neck of the woods. We have a small flocks of about 10 or so living in the gum tree just near our house. They share the tree with Magpies and Red Wattle Birds. They kick up quite a fuss when the occasional Australian Raven or Pied Currawong drop in for a visit. Keep up the good work. All the best.
