So, my current conundrum is that my 16 year old daughter says there is too much green, because I absolutely love green houseplants. I think I came up with a compromise. I do love simplistic planters, but I have been acquiring more planters that are other colors than green and mixing them in. I really think plant styling is helping with my plant collection. I don't want it to feel like clutter. I like to use my plants as design/decor. I like that you show planters and plant accessories and I look forward to seeing more plant styling.
I would like for cultivation corner to talk about matching planters to plants (plant styling). Do you all ever plant different plants in the same pot together?
My Moonshine Sansiveria, must be real tough, because it's really grown, and it's been through 4 moves, getting jostled around, forgot to water it etc. After I put it in my kitchen window late last year, it just went nuts!!!!! Loves that south facing window.
I do have some fake plants around my house, but I view them as "plant-themed decor." One thing I really want is a 70's rain oil lamp with the little plastic plants, but they're SO expensive!
Richie, You seem to have different recipes for your plants, one had hydroperoxide in it, drop of dish soap, rubbing alcohol etc. CAN you PLEASE give me the FULL recipe for Both recipes you use? Would really be great if you could. Thanks so much
Hi Kathy. Here’s what I use. I get a spray bottle. I put two tablespoons of cold pressed organic neem oil. I use 2 tablespoons of rubbing alcohol 2 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide. Fill the spray bottle with water, and drop one drop of liquid dish soap. Shake shake shake and spray
RICHIE, Are 6 inch Clear Plastic plant pots, big enough, for my Flowering Anthuriums??? I found some, but not sure if they are big enough. They don't look, like they are deep enough????
my favorite type of phal is a peloric... ima sucker for those 😍 17.22 isnt too bad for a bigger phal. that size here itll be like 20$ min. the medium sized ones are 15. however if youre lucky you can find em for 13$ @ freshco

I do buy the less expensive plants but like grandma; I just love the expensive varigated ones😅. Anyway I wait on the prices to fall.

Those tall bright sanseveria look really neat. That is a want now. Its going on the list. What color pot would y'all suggest for that plant?
I’d suggest a darker brown matte finish pot or a white pot
I am in agreement with you Richie, we need to push aglaonema.
It’s the best plant

See you soon!
I never really looked at bigger leafy plants, so wouldn't have noticed an Aglaonema . Maybe a Really Red one, but I don't see them here.?
They can be hard to find! I've had some luck at a local greenhouse.
however if you get into the polychilos type, those are an arm and a leg and will NOT find it at a big box shop
I can’t afford an arm and a leg
@growfolds haha you sure?
