When I was a kid, i thought WWII is cool moment in history, But when I grow up I knew that WWII is the brutal moment for everyone
I lie and listen with my eyes closed, imagining World War III with this music video.
Honestly the spitfire is the prettiest plane ever made to me. Everything about it works perfectly, the elliptical wing, the merlin engine the sweeping curved design it’s such a beautiful plane
I particularly love the spitfire but after playing battlefield V I#ve also fallen in love with the BF-109, both amazing aircraft

262 is also beautiful even though it was made towards the end of the war
Am I biased because I'm french and my username says it all ? Maybe but the Rafale looks better to me. The F4U Corsair looks beautiful to me too, same for the A6M Zero.

A few other great series on the Second World War (Albiet not movies) are The Pacific and Band of Brothers. They are absolutely hard-hitting and immersive, very well done productions.
And of course, your edit is awesome, combining some of the best shots of all your selected movies.

Powerful, great edit. What a tremendous loss of life, brothers killing brothers. Horrific political leadership with the greatest generation caught in the groundswell. RIP.
WW2 was a just war. Those men died to destroy fascism in Europe and the oppression of of the Japanese Empire in the East. You do a disservice to their sacrifice by trivializing it as some mere conflict between political leaders.
They were the greatest generation precisely because of what that war achieved.

Of course, it's easier to make WW2 Soviet films.
To cram into the clip "They fought for Their Country", aka "They fought for Homeland", aka "They fought for their Motherland" (Они сражались за родину, 1975), "The dawns are quiet here" (А зори здесь тихие, 1972), "Hot snow" (Горячий снег, 1972), "One-Two, Soldiers Were Going..." (Аты-баты, шли солдаты…,1976), "Only "Old Men" Are Going Into Battle" (В бой идут одни "Старики", 1973), "Trial on the Road" ( Проверка на дорогах, 1971), "At War as at War" (На войне как на войне, 1968), "The Fate of Man" (Судьба человека, 1959), "Soldiers" ( Солдаты, 1956), "The Immortal Garrison" (Бессмертный гарнизон, 1956), "The Ballad of a Soldier" (Баллада о солдате, 1959), "The Cranes Are Flying" (Летят Журавли, 1957), "Come and See" (1984) and "Stalingrad" (Сталинград, 1989) .
But this video does not American films about WW2 during the Cold War. So the big question is: is it worth it?

It will be difficult to make WW2 Russian films.
In the 90s, apart from "Yuri Ozerov's Monsters" (films made from his old films), there was only one film: "I am a Russian Soldier", aka "I, a Russian soldier" (Я -- Русский солдат, 1995).
You can take footage from the movie "The Star" (Звезда, 2002), even though it is a remake of the 1949 film. You can take the footage from the movie "Own", ake "Our Own" (Свои, 2004). I don't know if "The Cuckoo" (Кукушка, 2002) and "In August 1944" (В августе 44-ого, 2001) will look okay.
Well, from the 10th of the 20th century, you can take the "Fortress of War", ake the "Berst Fortress" (Брестская крепость, 2010), even if I consider it overrated because of previous films about the Berst Fortress. I would like to say that we can take "Stalingrad" (Сталинград, 2013). But there is no "Pearl Harbor" (2001) in this video. So here's the question. You can take "The dawns here are quiet" (А зори здесь тихие, 2015), the third remake of the 1972 film. From films about airplanes, you can take "The Pilot. A Battle for Survival" (Летчик, 2021). About "1941. Wings over Berlin" (1941. Крылья над Берлином, 2022) and "Air" (Воздух, 2024) I do not know. I have a neutral opinion on these films. And all because of "V-2. Escape from Hell" (Девятаев, 2021). This movie is worse than both of them.

This remix is one I made myself. Fairly simple I just slowed down the original song by about 25% and then added some reverb to the music.
