Sick tones, DSL is underrated imo. Great playing as always, your riffs are always sick and like you'd said in the Q&A video, there's clearly thought put into melody and rhythm (and overall note choice).
Love these videos Jason. Wen E. pumpkin, damnit? Common Mike F., kick that beast into production already!!! Side note: would you ever do a series of vids (using the original EP, of course) in which you slowly unpack your approach to picking and rhythm playing. You use and interesting pick-combo of fingers and wrist when galloping. We should get you to use Troy Grady's neck cam and half speed. In fact I wish Cracking the Code would do a thrash deep-dive on your right hand. Cheers. keep 'em coming.
This is hard, but hella fun. Please keep doing these types of videos. I think we can all agree it’s a nice way to get familiar with different types of settings and applications.
I guessed it was a real amp as it just sounded so full and lively but wouldn't have guessed the particulars. I do have the same amp though so I am stealing those settings :)
Faccck, I thought for sure Dual Rec. It sounded amazing like everything you do. I was most surprised by the mic though. I never have liked those mics on cabs. How do you like that drive? - Rich
I am somehow not surprised that it's the JCM2000, tho I wouldn't be able to tell if it's the real thing, a plugin or a profile. Are you using the deep mode? I thought my 2000 has some recto vibes with it on, but I don't think I ever felt the need of using it higher than 3
Despite being horribly wrong(plugins lol), I would really appreciate more of these episode. Cheers!

Dino played a hot rod Marshall in the 90s so this was almost a Dino rig set up. I was off but this was cool

The Dino pedal is crazy good ! I use it with my recto and it still manages to get that Marshall sounding metallic attack from demanufacture. 🤘🤘🤘
Agreed!
Killer tone dude, mean as hell
LOL I should have known you use Dino's signature pedal, since you chugs fear factory style riffs 😁
The jcm2000 is such a great amp. I used one with an orange of my old bands recording and that thing slams

I was wrong, but it sounds sick, so..... Cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I recognized the Marshall and the V30es but I thought it was a plugin, e.g. Neural DSP Fortin Nameless...but I didn't commented the initial post.
sounded great! I was like on planet pluto with my guess. Im really not a high gain player for the most part. That explains why i was way off .

Yeah deep is definitely on when boosting
awesome!!
jcm 2000 ... mod that tone shift to a knob and its amazing top amp
Cool! I was 100% wrong! Don't tell my wife. At least I thought it was a simple rig, amp, boost pedal, cabinet.
Do that sh*t again!
I was way wrong haha. I said some kind of rectifier.
Well frigggggggggg...........
I hate being wrong. 😑
