Hi Ronald, using the HP 12c is there an easy way to calculate the fraction of years between 2 dates? We have the delta days function, how do we get delta years (with its fractional result)? Thanks!
@@cascounty For the simplest solution based on Actual/365, just divide the result of dDys by 365. To get a basis of 30/360, Roll the stack once and divide by 360 (ie dDys, ROLL, 360, /). For more sophisticated Actual/Actual, I have a 59 steps HP12c program that is more accurate than Excel's Yearfrac formula. How could I share you a text version of the program steps plus explanations of the logic?
Anybody Know " how come we don't have to use the [g] 5 button do put in dates... how does the calculator already know we are putting in dates ... thanks in advance...
The [g] 5 button IMHO is to revert back to default after [g] 4 is preferred - usually in the Eastern or Southern countries where the date format is other than that of the US.
How would you calculate the number of months between dates?
