The strange loin had a hole in his ear, just like Zira. Since, he was so keen on giving Taka/Scar the same scar that caused him so much pain, it would make sense for him to be the cause of Zira’s injury to her ear. To me, he looks more like a father, but could be a brother as well.
I honestly think that he's her father. He already looked old when Scar was a teen and both Scar and Zira have the same age. It would be impossible for Zira's parents to have 2 cubs in such time gap.

I think it’s ziras farther for many reason I do remember a book and it had the same lion in it and it was ziras farther But ziras farther was evil He had an argument with ziras mother and it ended with ziras mother dying but When ziras mother was fighting her farther she gave him a scar. I remember her farther trying to train her to obey Him and and make her fight and if she dident listen her farther would attack her that might be the reason why theirs a hole in her ear. Ziras got corrupted by Her farther and scar. Scars story is Almost the same as zira their both misunderstood. That’s what made zira and scar who they are now

I find it easier to believe that he is Zira's older brother than in him being her father. My impression is that he is older than Scar but not that much older. I don't think he was already an adult when Scar was born.
I've always felt that the strange lion was Zira's father, but the theory about him being her brother isn't that bad.

The Idea I had been most in favor of is the Idea that The Strange Lion was Zira's Father. However the idea that The Strange Lion is Zira's older Brother is very intriguing. It would clear up the question of how Zira would become so "devoted" to the Lion that Killed her Father. If The Strange Lion is Zira's older Brother. It is very easy to believe (if you consider the relationship between Nuka And Vitani) that Zira did not like her older Brother. When you consider Zira's desire for power, it makes it very believable that she might have hated her older Brother. Scar kills Zira's older Brother, Zira becomes Leader of The Outsiders, and Scar instantly becomes Zira's Hero. Zira's total "Devotion" to Scar now makes perfect sense.

In my opinion, this strange lion must be Kuzimu, Zira's father, after he killed Azola (Zira's mother) and made perhaps a friendship with a cobra that bit Taka causing the Scar.

This wasn’t in the vid, but I personally think that it’s the selfish lion. If u guys know the canon (sort of) story of how Taka (scar) might have gotten the scar (this is head canon as far as I’ve been told) of course there are many ways on how Taka got the scar, but there is one on how the selfish lion was manipulating Taka into telling him very bad things that might have been the first step of how Taka brought the hyenas into the the den to make Taka’s father mad enough to give him the scar. Since the whole father-abusing-son thing is sort of not canon, but could be, but has not been revealed yet, this might be the opportunity where there is a possibility where Taka’s father didn’t abuse Taka, but was just mad and furious. Perhaps years later when Taka met the unknown lion and how we have a lion guard possibility (non-canon) on how Taka got his scar, this may be where the selfish lion perhaps wants to finish some business that he has started when Taka was only a cub. It could also be Zera’s brother also due to the fact that in Askari’s Kopa backstory where in this fan fiction story of how me, Askari, and perhaps some other ppl totally agreeing with the time Askari (being the narrator we all need and love right now 😊❤) saying this in some point in the vid saying “…Zera being the master manipulator…” including all the other things that Askari has covered in this vid on how they look and act the same to be siblings, that could also be a VERY huge hit on how they could be siblings. They are master manipulators! I’m still working in this theory due to the fact my timing might be a little off including the fact that the selfish lion was an adult when Taka was a cub. Zera and Taka are basically the same age right? I mean, maybe the unknown lion is not the selfish lion, but perhaps the son, brother, or a close friend that supports him in a way to finish the work that the selfish lion had started. I’m still gonna have to edit this A LOT if I’m gonna make this theory reasonable and possible for the time being. Anyway, what do u guys think? Does this make sense (I always get judged a lot for saying things that make sense to me in my brainiac universe even though it doesn’t make sense to other ppl and even though I try to break it down to be more clear, it’s more confusing on how much info and reasons I have just to have a simple answer that apparently doesn’t make sense to other human beings that don’t understand my brainiac universe as I do to make it simpler)?

Maybe zira’s father. He has the same unusual stripe as her and he has red eyes and they have similar fur. They even have the same smile
Pretty much the whole pride had red eyes, with the exception of Nala, Sarafina, Vitani, and Scar. So I wouldn't use that as proof for much. But these are theories, and theories are fun. All that really matters. The stripe though does give one thought. So if I were to pick a choice...I think maybe I'd go with Zira's father. The stripe is just such a major point. All Disney did was give us more questions they won't answer. >>

Lionesses live longer than male lions. meaning she could not of been scars daughter, or relative, but she lives on till the end of simba’s pride. meaning she is a little bit younger than scar. Also Zira and scar are nuka and zira’s biological parents as nuka quotes to Catania “scar wasn’t even his father he just took him in” meaning nuka wouldn’t say that if vitani and him weren’t his kids as he brags about it. saying he should of been king. these are my 2 theories hope it made some sense.

The time frame doesn’t add up for him to be Nuka’s dad if we are to assume he died from the roar, which feels implied. Simba wasn’t even born then and Nuka is younger than him.
Well looking at the strange lion's face and details I would believe that he's Zira's father because of the mark on it's top head.

I think it is her brother because if you look on Zira's story by Askari you'll see who's Zira's father and that Zira was an only child
I think it's Ziras father because he was older than Scar and most likely older than Mufasa. He also has the same torn ear, stripe, and red eyes as her. It doesn't seem like he's Nalas father, considering he didn't pass down any visual traits to Nala. He can also be Ziras big brother.
The resemblance between the unnamed male lion and Zira are very obvious. They have the same colored eyes, same type of nose, and body structure. They both even have a cut on one of their ears. They are clearly related in some way but none of this isn’t confirmed yet but it is very possible. The Unnamed male lion is either the father, Parental uncle, Older or younger brother, or the cousin of Zira.
I think strange lion is zira's father. Because in the song "when I got my scar " scar is telling that strange lion was telling that he has wisdom and power so, then scar is telling most powerful should be king . And you told in one video zira is the daughter of leader of lion of some group . It makes strange lion zira's father.
nuka has scars black mane reddish body fur tint and banishment and simba being mean to zira would anger him. but he was out for blood which means scars death really affected him so that is why i think nuka is scars son

Definitly a relative of Zira, most likely father or brother. He can't be Kovu's father since Scar killed/"destroyed" him when he got his scar and Kovu wasn't born then. But he also can't be Nala's father since we actually saw him in TLG being rescued from a tree and Rafiki then told them that Kion has a close resemblence with him.
My favorite of these theories are that she is Zira's father, but I also like the one about him possibly being Nuka's father. I mean think about it, it could be that the strange lion had a cub (Nuka) but abandoned him and Zira (The strange lion's sister) takes him in. That might be why she isn't as close to Nuka as she is her own children (Kovu and Vitani) but Zira never told Nuka that he is just her Nephew and is why she allows him to call her "mother" because he knows no difference. And the reason why she had such a hard time excepting his death is because he was the last thing that reminded her of her brother since he is probably already dead as well. Wow! That would be awesome since it would inadvertently make TWO of these theories true!

I think the strange Lion could be Kovu’s Father.... since he would be old enough to father Kovu.
This took place in Scar's adolescence, and he killed the strange lion. If he were to father him, that would make Kovu *older* than Simba, which is simply not true.

My theory is that he is Uru's brother .
Nguvu mated with a lioness called Dhaifu and had cubs with him they are called Tanuka and Zira .

My theory is that he is Uru's brother, since the ages match up and since Uru is often portrayed with a head stripe. Maybe he got like kidnapped or lost while exploring when he was very young, and an unknown malicious lion with some kind of hate against the Pridelanders took him in and raised him to hate the Pridelanders too, and gave him a the ear notch and eye scar while training him. This also explains why Scar didn't recognize him, since he would've only heard stories and seen drawings of the little strange lion.
I think he could be Nala's father actually. Because his status is unknown and so is Nala's father. It's also said by the directors that Nala's father was a rogue, and since this unknown Lion wants to take over the Pride Lands with Scar's help, it's obvious he's alone and have no Pride.
Also, I don't think It'd be Zira's brother or Father. They look nothing alike. Zira's actual father's name was Kuzimu, a dark grey-brown male with a brown mane and red eyes.
And Zira's brother was named Nunka who looked identical to Kuzimu but with their Mother's blue eyes.
But both are dead. Nunka was drowned by Kuzimu. Leaving Zira and her Mother, Azola, but Kuzimu also killed her. So it was just Zira and her Father.
Kuzimu abused Zira her whole life making her evil. That's also how She got her chipped ear. She ran away as a very young lioness and met Scar.
Kuzimu died of an illness, so Zira is the last of her family. Then that's where we end off when She meets Scar/Taka. He began to twist up her brain, she fell in love with him.
Blah blah, then came Nuka, but he was weak blah blah. Scar mates with Sarafina and had Tama and Mheetu, but she was a female and Mheetu was weak as well so he didn't want them, then when Nala was older he mated with her and had Vitani, but she was a female so Nala gave her to Zira, blah blah,
Then scar mates her again and had a son named Zuberi, but he seemed weak(Really wasnt) and Scar killed him through rage. Scar stole Kovu from Kula and Chumvi, then killed them, blah blah.
That's how Kovu became the future King.

1 where did you hear that backstory from because all of that sounds like theories made by fans that you just lumped together. 2 it's stated in an episode of The Lion guard that there was a cub that look similar to Kion who was Nalas father and his grandfather that's fell from a tree and rescued by the lion guard of his time.

Zira and Nala couldn’t be sisters, and if they were, that’s a huge age gap. Because Zira is scar’s mate. Scar was far older than Nala, being the equivalent of a 30-40 year old when Nala was a cub. it would make more sense that the strange lion is Nala’s father, (and maybe at the same time Zira’s brother) and slightly older than scar, perhaps exiled or a run-away after receiving the snake bite. Or perhaps this lion is far older than we thought, (even though he doesn’t look THAT old) and they are both Nala and Zira’s father.

I believe the strange lion is Zira's father. It's not likely her brother since Zira is around Nala's age and the strange most likely died before her birth and she never mentions him. The 3rd theory doesn't really make sense since Nala's father is said to be another lion and the strange lion died long before Zira's child were born which was probably around Scar's rein, a little before Simba took over, so the strange lion could not have fathered Zira's cubs. Also, Scar is not Nuka's father; when he states that Kovu is Scar's successor not his son, he refers to Scar by his name and not by father nor does he or Zira ever mention Nuka being Scar's son; Nuka's jealousy is from being the 1st born and not being the future king similar to Scar's animosity towards Mufasa.

I believe that yes,the strange lion might be kuzimu(ziras father) but like you said,he could also probably be ni,which is probably nalas father.But ni never turned evil,he just left so this theory might not be true.I want to state that zira was was part of Mufasas pride in the lion King 1,when simba was going through all the lionesses to wake up mufasa.The lion guard also explains why zira and her pride were in a deserted place.They used to live near the hyenas but kion blew them away with the roar.zira probably also killed kopa,simbas first son before kiara.But since zira believed that simba killed scar,she killed kopa to get revenge.That was probably when simba exiled her to the outlands.I just wanted to share this

If it was a DELETED SCENE, then it wasn't in the movie. Zira didn't make herself fall. She wanted to get up herself but slipped. It was an accident!

That strange lion IS related to Zira. The only thing we don't know whether if the strange lion is Zira's:
A. Father
B. Brother
C. Mate
I think that the most probable thing is that he could be her father. That is because of their age difference. The Strange Lion is too old for beign Zira's brother or mate IMO.

The only problem with the third theory is the fact that Zira was born in the same generation as scar. Nala was born in the same generation as Simba. Scar is Simba’s uncle…
I think i have a good one. so. the episode where zira meets kion. after the song she shows him a rock that looks like a lion, and then when scar tells janja(i dont know how to spell his name lol) about how he got his scar, the lion has the same exact scar. so i feel like its Zira's father :)

He could be a leader of some old lion guard as he to has the scar and it can mean that he was once a leader of the lion guard or he could be a long lost relative of zira
My other theory is that zira and him either brother and sister or father...they have the same nose, HOLE in the ear, triangle fade on there heads, the same grin,and same exact eyes and personality..... maybe they are brother and sister and he is the father of kovu and the sister of zira...maybe he died and zira took kovu in...which makes sense because I'm pretty sure we know that z ira is not the mother of kovu
I think 1. Theory is correct. Strange lion looks like Zira, if she was male. Strange lion is maybe a year older than Scar and Mufasa. That would make Zira being few months older than Simba.

Honestly the strange lion and zira may look alike but I think red eyes have nothing to do with it cuz u know who else has red eyes? Sarabi. I think that zira and the strange lion must be siblings or cousins because they are also very similar in age and the strange lion would have to be much older than zira to be her father. Plus they both have very similar personalities (evil, manipulative, mysterious) and they both have the strange line like mark on their foreheads that you don’t see on many other lions in the lion kind or lion guard.
