I was born into a Bahai family in the early 60s in Tehran, Iran. Life was not easy growing up as a young Bahai. School years were beyond difficult. It was sad to see so much prejudice, anger and hate from my fellow Iranian schoolmates and teachers. One of the tenets of the Bahai Faith is the elimination of all prejudices. I feel no resentment against those who inflicted beatings, threats and verbal abuse towards me and pray that they may try to love one another and independently investigate the Bahai Faith. Then, if it doesn’t work, we can always go back to our old ways.

There is a lot of aspects to being a Baha’i, but there is no pressure to do everything. Each person gets to share their best gifts. Mine are art and prayer. Others are leadership of a group or community service. None should feel pressured to do more than they can, because you have a lifetime. I made my own initiative and proved to myself the truth of all my learning. Prayer opens your heart, and these prayers are the greatest poetic expression on earth.

All religions are a form of animal worship. The moment we have made a doctrine, we have named God, like naming an animal. God has always been around way before religion. Man cannot name God. Only God can name man. Religion is for people who are are wicked and need to suffer until they find out why they have their religion. Prophets must be challenged. We must stand up to them and overcome them. Same with gurus and anyone else who is trying to mediate between us and the One who cannot be named.

Baha'is believe in Christ, and all the other main religions and that they all come from the same Source but at different times according to the needs of society. Like chapters of a book that builds on itself. In another thousand years, there will be another new religious message that is said to be more perfectly delivered by a charismatic man who professes to be the new Prophet. @@williamsantiago7303 It would be good to study and investigate other religions before denouncing them. Baha'is believe in Christ, and all the other main religions and that they all come from the same Source but at different times according to the needs of society. Like chapters of a book that builds on itself. By denouncing something just because it's new or sounds strange you are doing the same thing the Jews did to Jesus because at one point He was new and strange and didn't fit in with their traditions. Jesus said he will come again with a different name. Open your minds and at least investigate independently for the truth.

Between Christ and Baha’u’llah was Mohammed (Islam). Bahai’s believe in manifestations such as Abraham, Mose, Krishna, Zoaraster, Buddha, Mohammed and Christ (sorry if I missed any also these weren’t in order) but those manifestations brought teachings that were meant for years ago, today for teachings Baha’is believe to turn to Baha’u’llah. You do not need to believe this but you should not spread incorrect rumours about something that you obviously don’t know about. Thanks.

I'm not a baha'i but from what I know this is baha'i in a nutshell :
There's only one God, and the religion is evolving, baha'i believes that the ONE GOD that exist is Allah, Yahweh, Jesus (Father)
Basically its about humanity,
The prayer is basically praising that God is great and I'm weak but you give me strength, I'm poor yet I'm wealthy like that
In my understanding, you and i and everyone else are one with god. If this is so, then there should be no differences (differences, separation is perception that we humans experience). Meaning that you and god are both great, that none of you, be it you cannot be weak.

I also believe in loving all of humanity and that must include our LGBT brothers and sisters. We all have a right to choose the one we love and form a family. Fortunately, the legal prohibitions are gone in our nation on interracial marriage. Up into 1967, that was not the case.
