I didn't really like the scene with Zoe at the end. Who is she to tell him how to grieve his father? People grieve and deal with death in different ways. There isn't a right way to handle it.
I don't see how anyone could side with Zoe here. You don't get to tell someone how they need to handle their own grief. It isn't okay to push your own thoughts on how something should be done when it isn't your burden. You should instead but a supportive human being who works with said person to help them through their process.
@@ayandak47 Hes not avoiding it though, when Mikes Gma passed away, Harvey buried Mike in legal work because thats how Harvey deals with loss. You cant tell someone how to deal.
Zoe is legit the bad guy here. When a person loses someone they love, you never EVER tell them how to to grief. Whether you agree with their way or not, it's THEIR grief. I'm glad she left.
"Harvey you've lost your way." So true, the law game often made Harvey cross lines that harmed his relationships. Only when he walked away, he found it again
Right?? This firm was always about winning or losing and very rarely about working together as a team. There was so much conflict of interest inside the firm it was suffocatingly toxic. When I rewatched the series, I thought ‘working in a law firm like this shouldn’t feel so cold and miserable.’ Like almost all the associates were against Mike for no reason? And U can see from scenes where Harvey is working at the DA that he actually believed in putting criminals in jail. Now he’s more about the money despite what he claimed. I’m glad he got more human in the later seasons
Hey Im late to this video sorry, but can anyone explain why Zoe left the firm just because Harvey had lost his way? I mean, no one would leave their own job just because your colleague is messed up right?
The unsolved can opener mystery - This episode gives one clue that it also involves thumb tacks. Got to hand to the show creator for the way he builds curiosity around such a small detail. I feel so silly even talking about it and yet can't help myself. No wonder SUITS was so popular!!!
Yep you are absolutely right. As the Suits team said in an interview, they want the viewers to make up some kind of ritual. They want to play with audience's curiosity and creativity by giving some ideas like thumb tacks. The viewers are speculating about it only because they don't know what it is and think there is something when there is anything.
They simply borrowed the "orange glow in the briefcase" from pulp fiction. There wasn't anything actually in the briefcase narratively speaking. It was totally undefined deliberately to draw speculation and curiosity. Same thing here.
I hate that they mentioned thumbtacks in two different episodes though. Instead they should have incorporated some other item the second time they brought it up to add to the mystery and make it less redundant. That would have been more interesting
The thing is, Harvey didn't deal with it, he ran from it...similar to his issue with his mother, he ran from it Even Marcus told him, mom did cheat, but she's always there for the family while Harvey blames her mom for cheating and then throw away the whole family
nah - she was mindful, got interrupted and said what was on her mind. If the seasons showed something than it was that Harvey did not deal with his problems/ demons so to say. He did in the end but not before. She was right and he just used different ways of morning as an excuse.
@@joelquinn5347 I disagree because there's no one way of morning dealing with human grief is a process in which all of us have to deal with in our own way, in our own time. I do believe that she was being unfair on Harvey, we all have our way of dealing with grief I feel as if she is criticizing Harvey. If getting stuck into one's work is their way of dealing with grief then let that be their business. I'll be honest, I hate this belief taken by women that a man should be crying in his vale of tears and should be in bed for days, that's their version of how a man should grieve which is utter nonsense. Let us deal with our emotions in our own way and time for christ sake.
@@mofokengmoiloa1231 Like i said - the show showed it in the end. Its not about a broad topic here or how men should grief. Of course you can mourn differently. Thats not my point. My point is that she was mindful until she got pushed by him - something Harvey does if he don't want to deal with a specific thing and the more important part was that the whole show practically said in the end that Harvey did not deal with all of this. So the outcome is most important. And I'm not buying your anger here. Using the excuse "i deal with it my way" for the period of time you don't deal with it is just that an excuse most of the time. You do what you do - but if you use excuses only to deflect you are not better in the end; but this is hard to judge for most of the time and can be only answered by oneself.
@@joelquinn5347Its not anger, infact whether you buy my anger or not is irrelevant. You last point of "its all right as long as you do what you feel is right for you" ignores the part that you can do wrong because you do not know better. I agree - if it helps you to deal with it its working, but its no guarentee just because you think its right. At some point you will recognize if it worked or not.
