I have had one room catch fire on me so far - the General Diagnosis. The Nurse just stood there in the way and wouldn't let the Janitor put out the fire. So he sprayed her with the fire extinguisher. Somehow that worked. She got stuck there and I had to pick her up and move her so the Janitor could repair the machine.
I intend to buy this game on Steam when I'm rich again. And it is a serious nod to the original, which I played more than any 1980s game except UFO: Enemy Unknown, another British classic. My major problem with Theme Hospital used to be the contagious vomiting, largely because I'd sometimes be too helpless with laughter to do anything. And the grimacing and gastrointestinal noises in the loos. But Theme Hospital, when you got to the higher levels, could go south on you very quickly: the vomiting strikes; staff want pay rises; machines break down; then there are rats; patients start dying in the long queues; in the middle of this chaos, there'd be an unannounced visit from some bigwig, and you'd end up on the front pages of the tabloids for the wrong reason, followed by failure.
I don't know if Aavak would do this or not, but I'd love to see a single hospital that was made with only the minimum size on patient treatment and diagnosis rooms, making Kudosh items his only path to higher prestige rooms... No limit on fancy waiting areas of course. ♡ :)
One more day and I can touch this game... endlich!! Aavak I was actually rewatching your lets play of the alpha build. Just finished so now I got 2 episode of the "real" series! I need more >.
You even had it right initially! But anyway, great series! I've played Theme Hospital on and off for the last 20 years, the last time at the beginning of this year and this really looks as if they've kept the original's flair.
I had heard that before but I just went to wikipedia to confirm it. Gary Carr and Mark Webley, who founded Two Point Studios were both employed at Bullfrog Productions, who made Theme Hospital. I really hope they make a remake of Startopia next, it was my favourite Bullfrog game (you can still play that, too, it's on GOG and Steam).
I recently brought this game and I started out very well in the first training hospital.....then I realised my planning was a bit out of sorts when I had to build the second GP office, which is now located other side of the hospital in the furthest location! Unlocked Lower Bullocks and had a go, restarted level, had another go and considering starting the level AGAIN! This game isn't for impatient people I find :D
I can’t wait for the full release of the game! There are so many small details in it that makes me happy, from the animations to the sound effects! What’s that word you’re saying, “skewish”? Is it the same as “askew”?
On the plus side, if someone dies, it would be mighty difficult for them to vote against you for patients choice. Perhaps prioritising the treatment of happy people could help your reputation in that regard, not that I am suggesting that you should leave unhappy people to die, of course not... xD
"theres levels of 'for profitness' you cant accept. No, I'm not going to charge my staff. They get free food." i'm mad that this hospital gives staff free food but the RESTAURANT I work for doesn't let us get free food unless we are training new staff
It's good practice to have 2 nurses for a ward to keep things running smoothly, but I've had wards with 8+ beds and never had a problem with them filling up and things moving at a decent pace with only 2 nurses. I think the earlier problems with them only using a few beds was a bug that they've since fixed.
Question can you delete/rebuild rooms after they machinery exploded. Because I hate that in the original Theme Hospital game you can not delete exploded rooms.
Thank you very much for answering my question. That was the deal breaker for me to weather to buy this game or not because if the rooms can't be deleted or rebuild after the machinery exploded like in the original Theme Hospital then won't get the game in the future.
if bed face exzisted in real life i would be the wrorst case in the world. i sleep with my back twards the cieling and my head facing the left with my hands on my hips ing my left foot on my right shin. it is wierder cause i encase myself in the blanket the only skin exposed is the mouth and nose.
I wish it would, have been searching but can't find anything to say it'll be on PS4 😔 which is terrible considering Theme park used to be PS1 and this is from the same creators. Hopefully it's becomes so in demand that they release it on PS4 soon.
My friend asked me what I what I was doing at the time I'm posting this comment and I said Aavak vids and he told me he got though his abusive step mom who's now In jail
I love how the patient got out of bed, got changed and left the ward before he died in the middle of the main hospital...lol

Classic nurses, always In the way...
I like how you play. Slow paced so we can take in the details.

You are like, the only RUclipsr who plays this game properly - and it makes me so happy! And your commentary is great.
New subscriber for sure!
Thank you so much :D
Why do I get the distinct feeling that after I go to bed and wake up, we'll be up to Part 8, mostly because Aavak can't stop playing?
So glad this series is back. Wish I had a computer to play games on, I would definitely check this out if I had the ability
I don't know if Aavak would do this or not, but I'd love to see a single hospital that was made with only the minimum size on patient treatment and diagnosis rooms, making Kudosh items his only path to higher prestige rooms... No limit on fancy waiting areas of course. ♡ :)
lol I love when you upload part 2 while Im still watching part 1 :D
I’m loving how you design the hospital. Almost like you’re an architect. Subscribing just for this series weeee :D
Why thank you, that's very kind of you to say :D
Rooms can be any shape I want?! Brilliant! Time for a tesseract-shaped loo😲
Im so happy your playing this game again, cant wait for more!!
I'm watching this series now that this game is out on switch - thank you for all the tips!
The commentary is fantastic! :D Going to play this for sure! thanks for this series man! /new subscriber!
One more day and I can touch this game... endlich!!

This is amazing! Keep up the good work!
Thank you Aavak! ^-^ love the series
Funny thing, we have those Dyson Airblade hand dryers at my work, and here Aavak says he is fond of using them.
ghostbuster references were epic
Your hospital is ok but your channel is OP!!!
OMG SUBSCRIBED
I LOVED THE GAME !
Your amazing at this you deserve much more subscribers than this!!
So EE's holpitals look draconian compaired to your love it. And the shudder at 39:00 ~5
I'm glad you're enjoying my hospital design style :D
Ha! It sounded like Sideshow Bob stepping on a rake. Just look it up and compare. XD
Don't know what the inspector was looking for. The hospital looks great.
The puns never stop
LOL, goes to staff management, picks nurse that is best for ward, comments that he's best for wards, disables him for ward...
Blech, I'm so bad at that, I've done it at least three times so far, turning OFF the thing I want to turn ON lol
You even had it right initially!
But anyway, great series! I've played Theme Hospital on and off for the last 20 years, the last time at the beginning of this year and this really looks as if they've kept the original's flair.
@@biologezwei arn't some of the team involved people who worked on the original?

Oh, things are going badly and I have no idea why.
Better put in another plant!
I can’t wait for the full release of the game! There are so many small details in it that makes me happy, from the animations to the sound effects! What’s that word you’re saying, “skewish”? Is it the same as “askew”?
it's pronounced ''Skewiff", it basically just means that something is at an unnatural angle
I thought this was the full release?
It is the full release, I am a derp.
On the plus side, if someone dies, it would be mighty difficult for them to vote against you for patients choice. Perhaps prioritising the treatment of happy people could help your reputation in that regard, not that I am suggesting that you should leave unhappy people to die, of course not... xD

I don’t know if we want a cat fish at our hospital ladies first name is cat nice one avvak
Love the videos, small complaint, Not enough Comrade Donkey :)
Instead of deleting a chair or bench, can you store them?
10:47 I told the witch doctor I had *bogwarts*
Remember 1 nurse for every 2-3 beds in the ward... or am I speaking too soon?
It's good practice to have 2 nurses for a ward to keep things running smoothly, but I've had wards with 8+ beds and never had a problem with them filling up and things moving at a decent pace with only 2 nurses.
I think the earlier problems with them only using a few beds was a bug that they've since fixed.
That is a tad bit of overkill, unless they are very junior nurses.
Question can you delete/rebuild rooms after they machinery exploded. Because I hate that in the original Theme Hospital game you can not delete exploded rooms.
Yup, fairly sure you can.

Can you have multiple objectives at a time while in game?
LOL who puts a plant in the middle of the room?
Why didn't you make a canteens?
No rest indeed
Who do you call? GHOST BUSTERS
its hogswart LOL

Sad there's no morgue room in the game.
Will two point hospital come to PS4
