Fun little fact: the day that Anson Mount recorded his version of "Space, the final frontier.." was the same day that William Shatner, Captain Kirk himself, went up into space on Jeff Bozo's rocket.
Re: T'pring and other TOS characters: This series expands upon them and their relationships in complicating and interesting ways. A fuller picture, you might say.
19:00 I was hoping that the Archer's computer AI would have chatted with them. Having two ships computers talk aloud to each other for the benefit of listening crew was a missed opportunity in TOS.
18:10 To disprove fate, Pike decides to walk out the shuttle bay doors, is apprehended, and put in a padded cell for ten years. Unable to judge time, in his first stroll out of confinement, he sets the place ablaze and fulfills his destiny. The end. 🤣🤣🤣
22:20 "Symptom" - perfectly defined. I wholly agree. It gets even worse when a wobbly camera turns just a bit after a new speak begins and then pans to the next responder. There is no need to make mandatory plot dialogue a roller coaster. I appreciate this does not have the wobbly camera but cut after cut at different angles isn't much of an improvement
My favorite of the new Star Trek shows. It brings me back to a time when Star Trek was less about fighting the next galactic threat and more about exploring the unknown and understanding alien cultures.
3:40 TOS was about the weird hats, TNG to now is about strange bumps on faces, the animated series however, did aliens proper. We shall see if SNW can make some proper alien aliens.
Not a big fan of Captain Pastry Chef and the Groovy Girlies. I still don't understand the darkness and deep reds of this ship, not to mention why it needs such spacious hallways but I guess expense was no object when it came to the larger and more spiffy craft before that Great Fall just prior to TOS times (???).

Oh wow, that is a neat little fact! 😊
The day the earth stood still. Fantastic movie...
We'll have to watch it sometime. 😊
Has anyone seen The Orville?
Your so good with the parts videos 🌟🌟🌟

Looking forward to the complications. 😄
I'm so happy that you got this up.
13:24 Trailing ends of the warp nacelles are patterned after the pilot version of the Enterprise 😃
Good to see you over here for more Trek. …looking forward to it.
It was a bit of an editing struggle this week. I'll have to adjust to the new schedule next week. 😊

Haha, two computers talking to each other in English sounds pretty funny.

Fate is a cruel mistress. (I wonder why that's a phrase)

The wobbly camera makes me miss something in a couple of episodes. 😅

"Dalek. Exterminate, exterminate. " /snort/ :D
We really need a Trek/Who crossover.
Never heard of this show. I'll give it a shot...
My daughter and I just finished a "Watch All the Star Treks" project, and she said Strange New Worlds is now her favorite Star Trek series.
A great episode.
I totally agree about the dialogue format. Definitely an adjustment and I haven’t really come to like it.
Yeah, I'm going to let it go as much as possible. 😄Maybe just mine it a little for humor.
Love
20:20 Talking over each other is an irritating method of keeping dialogue tight and adding tension. I think the trop is overused in modern television.

The hallways are spacious so they can run around at top speed without hitting into anything. 🤣
