Calvin buddy i agree about not being happy that the combustion engine is fading away. ok so electric motors are more powerful but its not all about that, its about the ability to tune them/rebuild them/hear them, those cars have character and soul, could you really imagine modding an electric car? your 1st mod could be......

I just also dropped a Video on Forza also on a Hybrid Car aswell a 2018 Jaguar-i pace 🤣 like man my honest opinion on these Eletric Cars i see Tesla's,Prius and Porsche Taycan Turbo S and I'm like what if your car battery dies and your Stranded somewhere then there car is screwed as they whole car brakes ect lock up so the car will not move man nah i ant ready for the Transition yet Calv i agree with u on that to

I had one of these for 2 years, great car. You won't get more than 9 miles on a full charge in the winter, but in the summer I was getting 900+ miles on a full tank of petrol, and easily 45-50mpg on long runs.
Only sold it because I had 2 big dogs and needed something bigger.
Electrification is the future, accept it, engage in it, and once they're good enough that everyone goes on to them, we can be left to enjoy our C63s, E55s, M5s, etc as toys without any guilt.

I was expecting an Infiniti hybrid, the 400bhp one that uses a derived GTR engine and AWD system. Think it has the same flappy paddles and pedals too.
@@MP-um3kq That will be the Infinti Q50 hybrid, awesome car. It's about 370 bhp, seriously quick and handles like it's on rails. Never seen a British review for that car but I know they're for sale over there. It uses a V6 and conventional gearbox so it doesn't sound like a hybrid.

Enjoy it mate! Dad used to have a 99 and then an 02 model. Sold it before I got into cars, it used to glide along the road. I'll never forget when the two of us used to sneak out and he'd do some pulls. Amazing, amazing car!

I've got a 2016 one of these. They go like stink and they're pretty quiet on the petrol engine even in Sport+. the electric motor is basically used for launching from standing. Plus the PHEV means no road tax. Plus the 200kg battery helps keep the power down.

My car is a GLC350e. Basically the same powerfrain but with a bigger e-motor. 327hp stock but I chipped it to stage 1. It now has 750nm and 400! Hp. Smokes a glc43 off the line

I have heard that the electric vehicles still uses some diesel when they are being charged. Dont know of its true though.

Test drove the new facelift 545e and it’s actually the perfect hybrid. Comfy, economical, plenty of power + more, can’t feel the extra weight and drives amazing. Would’ve gone for one but couldn’t find a top spec model in stock so went for 530d 🤷🏽♂️
I bought a prius for $2,400 and I hate everysecond I'm driving it, but when I see I only spend $15 a week instead of $65 on my Range Rover, I just smile and keep driving LOL

If it still has the original catalytic converter on your Prius it’s worth a fortune scrap value.....like 1500-2000 dollars.....that’s just for the cat, not the full car. 👍🏻

I just had the E300 DE as a loan car.. the electric range is shite if you are a petrol head.. but pretty cool gliding around on the electric - stealth mode! The diesel hybrid has plenty of torque and is quite quick for a boat!
In the boot is the HV(High Voltage) Battery and the electric motor is sandwiched between the petrol motor and the gearbox. Also the regenerative braking is done through the electric motor itself which is why brake discs and pads last longer and if you only drive round town the brakes look rusty because they aren't getting used at slow speeds/light braking ;)

The dirt could be due to silicone based tyre shine.
Over spray can go onto the wings , which attracts dirt.
Go for a tyer shine that doesn't contain silicone.

The best part of loving cars hooning down a road will be the noise, whether it's a V8, V12, turbo's or a supercharger whine... everything is about the noise it makes. Granted you can not get away from how quick these cars are now getting, but I will have a V8 all day & everyday just for the sound alone.

Best thing for hybrids are select full petrol never use the plug and use the electric like the f1 cars for acceleration assist and you can actually burn more fuel then a none hybrid
so weird that I just bought one of these and you made a video the week after, as much as it does lack soul, the way it launches on dry warm day is insane, must be low 5s high fours
I have a c350e if you charge the battery and us the sport+ it’s pretty lively, the revs drop to zero when the car is driving solely on battery. The gearbox in anything but sport+ is an embarrassment
i wonder if there's any tuning capability? might make for a proper quick car with a few mods!

Funnily enough, I drove a late 2015 e300 bluetec hybrid today, it was surprisingly good although brakes were a bit shit, maybe just new pads needed tho

This C350e is basically going to be the new generation C63...4 cylinder AMG car to be announced... no more V8

The big problem is the unreliability - the Merc and Audi hybrids have been awful.
Cal, My RX8 fun/weekend car gets 8MPG on 99 octane and I'd have it no other way. Yes, admittedly I have an SUV for the school runs and shopping and so on so forth, but God forbid a world where we can't red-line at 9k RPM and face that consequence we already pay through the nose on tax via the petrol station.
Infiniti Q50 Hybrid slaughters it, sub 5 second 0 - 60 and 364bhp.

I think your are right it is all going that way I'm also a petrol head I think in some way electric cars may push up the price of older sports cars due to all you said about the soulless experience sound feel noise smell.

Imho the C350e actually has quite a lot of character and especially in Sport+ I wouldn't call it soulless at all. The handling on a back roads is also really good, although the C63s W205 is slightly better in that regard.

the reason the wing appears more dirty is because the heat of the engine has dried the wing. the door is just as dirty but whilst wet doesnt show as much. Science..

Hybrids should offer a performance advantage over gas in the form of torque filling. No petrol engine can provide maximum power from idle revs but electricity can. This is more important as modern engines rely on laggy turbo chargers. If power delivery is instant and predictable then worth hybrids are worth considering.
Hybrids are largely about mpg...
bmw hybrids use the electric motor for performance boost in sport mode.
Your not going to beat the noise of your c63 it sounds sexy as fuck

@@sinenomine4540 I agree EV's are the way forward I will just miss the sounds of some of the old ICE's. More investment in the charging infrastructure is required but with the government just announcing the reduction of the grant for new cars it will not help
