  • Fake it until you make it, right? Not according to Jesus. He calls us not to practice our righteousness in front of others in Matthew 6:1-18. He tells us we shouldn't give, pray, or fast if we are just doing it impress people. That's fake faith. Fake faith gives to get noticed, performs prayers for people, and sacrifices to appear spiritual. In the end, fake faith doesn't hold up. Jesus didn't die on the cross to impress people; He died on the cross to reconcile us to God. Practice real faith by doing everything for God, focusing solely on Him. __

I want to move to Dallas.
Im surrounded by people I went to church with. Hypocritical. This video was them. I also felt CONVICTED NOT COMFY. I love my Pastor but I need to get away from materialistic people who use the bible to deflect. I am human bent away as created yet This video was so accurate in reminding me where I was a year ago before finding a body to belong to. But when my son went to Navy I got too much attention for some... so sabotage.
As a Christian I can only CHOOSE to be offended but when angry ,cursing people deflect ,attack ,and slander when u try to make peace.. I need peace away ftom this. I ALLOWED myself to be attacked. No excuses. I need to reconnect with Jesus.

So drained sometimes, not that I am perfect but Let's leave that to how God sees his children..sometimes a true sermon gets so much conviction and then life just moves on...may be I am so mentally drained over and over again with stuff...theories vs practicals...Hope this one causes a change to the hearers and just a conviction..although conviction is the first step

Gandhi was highly moved by the Gospel message, but his journey was disrupted by the behaviors of the so-called "Christians" that he met. He said: “I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.” He also observed this: ‘If it weren’t for Christians, I’d be a Christian.’ Some of the worst, most callous and careless, self-centered attitudes come from people who pretend to be Christians. Here is a Scripture that speaks directly to the hypocrisy self-proclaimed Christians: Titus 1:16 "Such people claim they know God, but they deny him by the way they live. They are detestable and disobedient, worthless for doing anything good."

The enemy has counterfeits for God's Love, don't cheat yourself to give the enemy the glory. Jesus loves you, mind, body, soul and spirit, with all the faults you think you have and the mistakes you may have made. Love covers all, Sin (the counterfeit "love") leaves you wanting and doing more that harms your life, the people around you and the lost who needed to hear from you, the Love of Christ and what he did for them. The enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy, if you let him. Take authority over sin and cast it out in Jesus' name. You really need the whole-wholesome healing and restorative Love of God to undo the damage and make you whole again. God bless you all, just another work in progress.

Powerful.... my friend say that he’s a Christian but...... he lives like a sinner and he doesn’t care what he’s doing....he’s breaking my heart because he’s falling from faith to his parents shoes that ruined their lives and it’s ruining his life .... he said that he prays to god for what he had and god will forgive him then goes back to his sins and doesn’t care... I don’t know what to do.... I care about him like a brother..... I don’t mean to spot the spec in he’s eye when theirs a log in my eye....I’m fine about talking about him because he won’t ever see this video because he doesn’t care about god.

@@darknessthehedgehog3 so in other words don't talk about God. Sounds like an atheist point of view that doesn't like feeling convicted of their wrong doings. Though I do agree that there is a way of spreading the gospel without it being forcefully fed to a non-believer!

    Fake Faith impresses through;
    1) Giving (Matthew 6:2-4)
    2) Prayers ( Came from mental modeling because of prior family patterns. With our hearts detached from our mind. (pray like this; acknowledge that he is Holy, he knows you want ASK. You need to forgive others for Him to forgive you).
    3) Fasting (Matthew 6:15-18) .."Your Father who sees what's done in secret will reward you "
    4) Sacrifices to appear spiritual ( Example of being an influence rather than wanting to impress - The man who fasted every year for 40 days (water and juice). Fasting Strengthens your natural resolve and ability to resist sin. Our bodies naturally cling to things we're accustomed to.
We're so focused on our need for affirmation we've lost the practice for adoration. Whew*
We do things more to impress man than God 😔

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

These people do not know what they're talking about because they don't go back to their Roots the Christian church they subscribe to a church that is not the one Martin Luther or even Jesus Christ taught about Romans 10:9 does say that if you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth but you will be saved first off this is in a letter to the Romans so Paul is writing to people that already had a basic understanding of the Gospel you cannot build your theology based on one verse in Scripture it's Sola scriptura Sola Christus we believe the scriptures are Supreme we believe in Jesus Christ Alone
sola fide), meaning justification by faith alone,
To subscribe to this man's thinking and to the thinking which now is commonly referred to as Mainline protestantism or Mainline evangelicalism is simply dangerous because Martin Luther said himself he never intended to get rid of the Ten Commandments so by Martin Luther's logic like you said you live out your faith
14 Dear brothers, what’s the use of saying that you have faith and are Christians if you aren’t proving it by helping others? Will that kind of faith save anyone? 15 If you have a friend who is in need of food and clothing, 16 and you say to him, “Well, good-bye and God bless you; stay warm and eat hearty,” and then don’t give him clothes or food, what good does that do?
17 So you see, it isn’t enough just to have faith. You must also do good to prove that you have it. Faith that doesn’t show itself by good works is no faith at all-it is dead and useless.
18 But someone may well argue, “You say the way to God is by faith alone, plus nothing; well, I say that good works are important too, for without good works you can’t prove whether you have faith or not; but anyone can see that I have faith by the way I act.”
19 Are there still some among you who hold that “only believing” is enough? Believing in one God? Well, remember that the demons believe this too-so strongly that they tremble in terror! 20 Fool! When will you ever learn that “believing” is useless without doing what God wants you to? Faith that does not result in good deeds is not real faith.
“Now, therefore, the sum and substance of this is that he [Jesus] confronts them [the Pharisees in Luke 14.1-11] straight to their faces, showing them that they don’t know what it means to keep or sanctify the Sabbath. Your thinking, he says, is that the Sabbath means to do no work whatever and to be idle. No, you must not construe the Sabbath in this manner. Sanctifying the Sabbath means to hear God’s Word and to assist your neighbor however you can. For God does not want the Sabbath to be kept holy in such a way that you allow your neighbor to languish and be in need.”
“Therefore, if I serve and help my neighbor, even though it requires physical labor, I still have kept the Sabbath very properly, because in doing so I have done a God-pleasing work. This doctrine of the Sabbath, therefore, shows us how to understand what the third commandment is all about and what it demands of us, namely, not that we observe it in idleness, but that we hearken to God’s word, and act and live in harmony with it.”
“So what is its lesson? It teaches us that, in accord with the second table, we are to love one another and do all manner of good works. On the Sabbath, if I listen to and obey God’s word, it surely follows that I also should act in accord with it, for by doing good I am not breaking or desecrating the Sabbath, but acting in accord with his word.
Teachings of Martin Luther about keeping the Sabbath day holy
    Luke 14
1-2 One Sabbath as he was in the home of a member of the Jewish Council, the Pharisees were watching him like hawks to see if he would heal a man who was present who was suffering from dropsy.
3 Jesus said to the Pharisees and legal experts standing around, “Well, is it within the Law to heal a man on the Sabbath day, or not?”
4 And when they refused to answer, Jesus took the sick man by the hand and healed him and sent him away.
5 Then he turned to them: “Which of you doesn’t work on the Sabbath?” he asked. “If your cow falls into a pit, don’t you proceed at once to get it out?”
6 Again they had no answer.
You shall have no other gods.
What does this mean? We should fear, love, and trust in God above all things.
You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God.
What does this mean? We should fear and love God so that we do not curse, swear, use satanic arts, lie, or deceive by His name, but call upon it in every trouble, pray, praise, and give thanks.
    The Third Commandment
    keep the Sabbath day holy
We should fear and love God so that we do not despise preaching and His Word, but hold it sacred and gladly hear and learn it.
God invites us to rest, reflect on His Word, and receive His forgiveness in order to strengthen our faith in Him.
    Honor thy father and mother
What does this mean? We should fear and love God so that we do not despise or anger our parents and other authorities, but honor them, serve and obey them, love and cherish them.
    Do not murder
What does this mean? We should fear and love God so that we do not hurt or harm our neighbor in his body, but help and support him in every physical need.
Don't be unfaithful to your spouse
What does this mean? We should fear and love God so that we lead a sexually pure and decent life in what we say and do, and husband and wife love and honor each other.
do not bear false testimony against your neighbor and accused him of things he or she did not do
What does this mean? We should fear and love God so that we do not tell lies about our neighbor, betray him, slander him, or hurt his reputation, but defend him, speak well of him, and explain everything in the kindest way.
do not lust covet or steal your neighbor's possessions instead help your neighbor manage both his spiritual and physical possessions
What does this mean? We should fear and love God so that we do not scheme to get our neighbor’s inheritance or house, or get it in a way which only appears right, but help and be of service to him in keeping it.
do not covet scheme or lust after your neighbor's wife his animals or his servants
What does this mean? We should fear and love God so that we do not entice or force away our neighbor’s wife, workers, or animals, or turn them against him, but urge them to stay and do their duty
hopefully you can see that it's not our works that get us into heaven it's the fact and that
through the Atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ. Through the grace of God, everyone who has lived will be resurrected-our spirits will be reunited with our bodies, never again to be separated. Through His grace, the Lord also enables those who live His gospel to repent and be forgiven.
Grace is a gift from Heavenly Father given through His Son, Jesus Christ. The word grace, as used in the scriptures, refers primarily to enabling power and spiritual healing offered through the mercy and love of Jesus Christ.
Because of personal choices, everyone also experiences the effects of sin
These effects are called spiritual death. No one can return to the presence of God without divine grace. Through the Atonement, we all can be forgiven of our sins; we can become clean before God. To receive this enabling power, we must obey the gospel of Jesus Christ, which includes having faith in Him, repenting of our sins, being baptized, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and trying to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ for the rest of our lives (see Ephesians 2:8-9; James 2:17-22
The grace of God helps us every day. It strengthens us to do good works we could not do on our own. The Lord promised that if we humble ourselves before Him and have faith in Him, His grace will help us overcome all our personal weaknesses
Jesus Christ came not to put away the law of Moses but took fufilled the need for sacrifice The Ten Commandments still apply if you read Matthew chapter 5 verse 19 you'll see he who deliberately ignores a command of God he will be considered the least in the Kingdom of Heaven Martin Luther clearly taught that one needed to be baptized by immersion found in John chapter 3 he also knew that a priest needed to be ordained of God and would need to hear our confessions in the old days that was up to the Bishops because they were the overseers of the flock when this man talks about speaking in tongues it's not to be interpreted as random babbling as you'll see in the Pentecostal movement the speaking in tongues happens on the day of Pentecost when members of the church were gathered in the upper room of the temple and they started speaking in languages they never spoke before that's a gift overall just follow the teachings of Matthew 5:19 and Thessalonians where it tells you to hold fast to the Traditions that the apostles taught because they were ordained of God and he taught them don't rely on the False traditions of a church that has been twisted I call it the feel-good Protestant movement it's not real protestantism it's false
